  8. Hi Lynsita, first welcome here and so proud of you. Running uphill?? Thats all I have where I live. You will build up your strength and endurance and you will be able to tackle anything. Steep hills?, i walk/run. It was funny when I visited Florida after living in altitude and mountains forever, i kept on running and running lol. Do not be hard on yourself. You got this. Good luck!!

    Treadmills

    Hi Kristi, Treadmill is great too. Just remember that it will help to propel you forward, so make sure before you dona race, you try running outside too. Running on pavement is harder. But.......... All treadmills are different. Try and increase your speed too. I run between 4.5 and 5.5. But mine might be slower than yours. Good luck to you all and Happy Running!!!

  22. Hi There Yotee, I am so excited for you. I had that same Surgery in 1992, and have ran, taught fitness, etc.., for years. Now, as I am getting older, the DR., told me that because of my neck surgery, it is pushing my spine down and therefore, I have other disc problems. Now, mind you, I am a very ACTIVE person, it is hard to keep me down. So, watch your neck and back and listen to your Dr.... I Run/Walk, weight train, etc...... Hardcore running is tough for me now. But I am determined to not SIT! Ever. I absolutely LOVE that "start running" voice, lol.... Good Luck to you! Proud of ya!

  24. Hi there Ang, In the apps & devices on MyFitnesspal, you should be able to sync it there. MOst of us use an app running in the background, like Mapymyfitness, Runmyfitness, Runnkeeper, Nike, etc.., to track distance, etc.... Works great.
