Hi there amd Welcome!!! Congrats on your first day. I cannot diagnose your lower back pain for you, but if I am too stiff when i run, i get pain in my lower back too. I have to make sure I really stretch my back and my legs and that helps. Make sure you have a rest day. Let us know. Good luck.

Hi Lucy, You need to find the pace that you feel comfortable with running. I could do a 5k in 27 minutes (when I was younger, lol), a 10k in 56 minutes. We did not have apps to help us a few years ago. I did speed training, strength training, drills, to get myself faster. Running in a group was a big help too as I did run faster. I found some great articles at: Www.runnersconnect.net, www.coolrunning.com. Look up pace for a 10k online. So much to choose from. Hope this helps you and I am excited to watch your progress. Good luck.

Hi Margaret, Welcome here. Have you tried counting your pace as you are a treadmill and then trying that outdoors? I think that would drive me nuts myself but , surely there is something in an app that shows you pace you are doing? Like Mapmyfitness, Runkeeper, Nike that show you your pace????? When i went out yesterday, surge showed my my pace. I was soooo slow, but it was really hot out. Let me know what you figure out. Good luck.
