  1. I add a scoop of Isagenix Greens! To a protein shake. It has the nutrients of 30 vegetables, contains antioxidants for immune healthy and probiotics for gut health and digestion. Of course I eat fresh veggies too--the ones I like. Sometimes it's easier to drink the ones you don't care for but are good for you!
  2. I am most concerned on what I follow my run with--a very healthy protein shake--no additives, preservatives, sweeteners, non-gmo, pre and probiotics. It's the best post workout fuel. Before runs I may have a shake also, but with just short runs I'm more concerned with hydration. Maybe I will have an electrolyte replacement drink full of vitamins, minerals. Not Gatorade!
  3. I have had a few years of running off and on, including running a couple half and a full marathon, and I still never considered myself a runner. It never got in my blood. I did it for my health and weight. But, to my surprise, running did not make me lose weight. I believe it helped me maintain somewhat, but never lose. As it's been said, 80% of weight loss begins in the kitchen--it's nutrition. Nutrition alone has helped me lose weight. I am blessed with a wonderful regimen that floods my body with excellent nutrition. But the fireworks really happen when you combine great nutrition with consistence exercise. So I'm back at it! Exercise+nutrition = optimal health! I started on week 4.
