Jschaferhess
W12D1 done! Was worried because I've been sick and missed my run on Monday. I was a bit slow today, but got through it just fine. I can't believe how much I'm enjoying this!
Jschaferhess
W12D2 is in my rearview mirror but it should be my day 3. Run over the weekend or wait until monday?

Jschaferhess
W12D3 completed though slower than normal. I blew my healthy eating regimen this weekend, and it definitely showed in my run!
Jschaferhess
I should have started W13d1 today, but instead I did a shower run. I went back to W8D3. My intention was to focus on my speed. While I was faster I'm still not running a 30 minute 5k. My endurance is good but speed was slow. I keep reading speed will come, but when? torus_ot
I took almost 4 weeks off from running - back and hip bugged me more than usual. But I kept walking 12k steps daily (well 90 % of the time) Today I carefully started my treading back into running: 1.6mi walking, 3.2mph-3.8mph 0.5mi jogging, 5mph all with 3.5% incline. Breezee
I have done two weeks of 120m elevation hill running daily. Mainly walking up and running down. On the flat yesterday and felt like I was flying. Has definitely given me new strength in my legs.
torus_ot
Friday 0.3mi walking, 3.2-3.8mph 0.7mi jogging, 5.1mph 0.3mi walking, 3.8mph All with 3.5% incline 15k steps today total.
Breezee
Did a time 4km run today and I'm down to 7mins a km on mainly flat road running. A minute faster than before I did hill training.

Jschaferhess
W13D1 today. Still not getting the distance but running the prescribed time.
Jschaferhess
W13D1 was a jump to 25 minute run, walk one minute, then jog another 25 minutes. Again, I ran the duration, but my distance fell short. I came in at 4.5 miles. I'm getting discouraged with my pace. Will speed ever come? torus_ot
Jschaferhess, try to do week 9 and you see that you are gaining speed. There are some special training for speed increase - google it. But it is hard (would be for me) to hit two targets at once - speed and distance Wednesday 0.5mi walking, 3.5mph 1.5mi jogging, 5.4mph 0.3mi walking, 3.8mph All with 3.5% incline

liev
I just finished W7D2. This program has been amazing. I;ve gone straight through with no glitches, although I run super slow. Don't know when I'll get fast enough to actually do a 5K. My plan is to get the endurance up and then work on speed. I will be 70 years old November 2017 and my goal is to run a 5K before that birthday.
