Hi Elyse, No, you are just fine. While training with the app. you are not running a full 5k everytime. You are going about 1.5 miles each time, it will increase as you go along. I walk or run further if I feel like it. You are doing great! Keep it up!

Hi there, Welcome on here and Congrats, I run in different places, sometimes in hills, sometimes flat. I go in the AM as i tend to be lazy if I do not. lol. Do not feel self conscious about running in public. I just don my sunglasses and focus..... I am running and they are not.. I found this awesome article online you can check out on protein intake. http://www.acaloriecounter.com/diet/how-much-protein-per-day/ Make sure you go to the link to read the whole article, ok? Hope this helps you, hugs. Person, Situation & Goals Ideal Daily Protein Intake Average healthy sedentary adult (male or female) that does NOT work out or have any related goals. This is just what I consider to be a good minimum daily protein intake for general health/function. 0.5-0.7 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Average healthy adult (male or female) that IS doing some form of exercise regularly or IS trying to improve their body (lose fat, build muscle, etc.). This is the minimum I’d recommend in this case. 0.8-1 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Average healthy adult FEMALE whose primary goal is building muscle, getting “toned,” maintaining muscle while losing fat, increasing strength or improving performance. 1-1.2 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Average healthy adult MALE whose primary goal is building muscle, getting “toned,” maintaining muscle while losing fat, increasing strength or improving performance. 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight.

Hi Jill, Ouch, gosh is ps hate that when you are plugging along and ouch, an injury. I'm having a hard time researching it this am as the Internet is slow because of bLack Friday. Lol. But WebMd has a great article on it. When I pull calf muscles, it's i use the RICE method. Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. I knead and massage the area and that helps to heal faster. Just rest yourself. Hugs to you and hope it heals fast for you. Maybe try walking. But if you don't rest it, it won't heal fast.

Hi Dart girl and Riley. Yes it does suck that it's so hard to lose weight when you have hypothyroidism. I've just been diagnosed mildly with it. Today I'm starting back low carb today. Gotta lose. We can do it.
