    Hey, I would start at the beginning, if you want, you can just run longer when they ask you to walk, I do that. I love interval training too. BUrns fat fast. Lol

  4. Hey Joey, Yeah, dieting is for the birds. It is a lifestyle change. I love the Paleo the best. High protein, low carb, fruit, veggies. I find that I can follow that all the time.. I cheat one day a week and i love it. Way to go!

    Hey Coldsnack (name?), lol. My hubby and I have been on a health kick for awhile now. What we have noticed is that, the more you eat healthy, bad food makes ya kind of ill. I love love French Fries, once a week is all i can handle now... You can do it!

  10. Hey Traci, here for you , we all are. What is the Ketogenics diet? I have heard of them all. Is this like the Atkins diet? We can be buddies. Id love it.
  11. You can do it, Way to go on beginning. I am right there with you on losing weight. I was a total fitness nut, got burned out after teaching 10 plus classes a week for years. Gained some weight and now I am on a roll to lose too. We can do this!
  12. WOW, glad you are ok. You just never know. THose that abuse their bodies seem to live forever and some are super healthy and something like this strikes. I have been life flighted twice with hear t issues and it is so scary. I was in such great shape too. One was peri-carditis where my heart sac was infected and swollen. Second tie they didnt know. . My heart Dr said a lot for me was contributed to running a lot. So I do not full blown run anymore, I run/walk. It was scary. Take it slow and listen to your DR. Congrats on beginning.

    Hey, Good for you two. I am 52 and working out super hard myself, walking, jogging, cardio, weights. What are you guys doing?
  16. Hi There, SO Superstar, Have you been getting any kind of exercise?? What do you want to do? Run, Walk, Hike, Cardio Videso, weight lifitng? I love the APPS that coach you. Couch to a 5 K, C25K, 5 K trainer, Abs Trainer, etc... Great coaching. I am walker/runner. Start off slow and then as you get stronger go faster and harder. Anything I can do to help, let me know.
  17. I have a friend who works out with me. I love it. I am good on my own too. I love the Zen Lab apps as you can do short bursts of exercise with the apps.
  18. Being a diabetic, what about string cheese, jerky, I love the Atkins Bars for lo sugar content. I would think granola bars would be the worst. Low salt deli meats. Nuts. I have low blood sugar and I do not tolerate sugar very well at all. SO when I go to the lake and we are kayaking, that is what I take. I like green apples too.
  19. I really keep myself Hydrated. Lots of veggies and fruits days before. I run better when I have some protein and fruit before I hit the trail! It helps.
  20. I bought ones from JcPennys called Xersion. They have underwear attached and the waist cinches. Then I do not have to worry about undies riding up. They stay put.
  21. I have a belt that doesnt move too much. It actually has a tie that can be cinched up. I love those ones that have the little bottles attached to it, like 2-3 of them and might get one of those. I never workout without my water bottle.
  22. Well, I live in the country so it is easy to duck behind a bush and GO. If you are in the city, are you near any parks that have restrooms?
  23. Hi All, I am so excited to be back on track and busting my butt to get in shape. I taught for years and was in total burnout. On a roll now!
