blondiegirl2212
I've so never seen myself as a runner but with the motivation of a friend who is a week or so ahead, ive stuck to it and completed all the runs. Today was the dreaded one and up until yesterday i couldnt see how i was going to do it as i was really struggling at 8mn runs but I psyched myself up, i read on here about proper breathing techniques and told myself 'i can do this'. Within 5mns of the run, i knew i was gonna do it. It was my easiest and most enjoyable run, i even sped up the last 5 mns and wasnt as out of breath as i'd been previously. The difference for me was proper breathing and music. Go for it, if I can do it....believe me, anyone can xx aahowe and KellyAnn

blondiegirl2212
Wow!!! That's fantastic, well done you and im so glad i was able to help. Im still going strong. I read on here to listen to your body & if you feel like you can go on, to do it so I did just that and didnt go back to the interval training. Ive now ran x2 5k's now and Im still gobsmacked haha. Keep on keeping on. If you think you can you will xx

Keep on keeping on. If you think you can you will xx I still can't run the distance. I skipped the interval training today (week 6 day 2) and ran 20 minutes straight again. The interval training is boring, that's why. But I'll probably start following the program again. I don't want to rush too soon. It's awesome, though, that you are already able to run the 5k! Go you! Morgana70
Hello!! I am SOOOOO proud to tell everyone that I managed W5D3!!! but i have to confess i didnt do it right away!! I had completed W5D2 but as i have lupus, i didnt want to push that hard so fast! I did W6D1 and w6d2 , then I did two days of two sets of 12" and then two days of set of 15" And this week i returned to week 5 and managed two completed it with ease!! so next week i will engage on week 6 !! And i am feeling soooo optimistic!! And feeling stronger, confident, and much more fit!! It is so true what you say! I feel a runner already This totally makes sense: W6D1 is 18 minutes total running, with walking intervals. (why going "back", if you already did the 20 minutes on W5D3?), W6D2 is 10 minutes + 10 minutes with 3 minutes walking interval. it makes much more sense in the order you made it! And I will too, definitely! Thanks for the tip!

WandaV
I dreaded w5d3, too, but I rearranged my playlist, put on my big girl panties, and went for it! I did it!!! Surprised myself! Now I'm feeling that if I can make that hurdle, I can make the ones to come. I will do this.
