  1. Hello Natcatvet! I was as slow as you are, and i am still slow, around 8-9 min/km but i am doing as TrishE says, and with the 10k program I am increasing the time of running, yesterday I managed to jog for the complete 5k, in 42 minutes. It took 13 weeks, so you just have to be patient and persistent!
  2. Hi there!! I just wanted to stop by to report that i completed my first 5k in 42 minutes! I feel so happy! I am actually on the 10k program, and it has taken me longer to get there, but, this program is so good, it has really been from the couch to 5k in 13 weeks. No injuries, and feeling so good and strong, despite my lupus! I am going to complete the program to get to run for an hour, i feel i can do anything now
  3. I am so happy to report that although it may be hard to believe, i jogged 33 minutes today! I was supposed to do W7 d3 today but when the voice said "start walking" at minute 28, i still had gasoline left, so i decided to keep running, and so i did until the final 5 minute cool down was finished, and probably i could have ran a bit more, i feel so accomplished
  4. i am soooo happy to complete week 6!! I am excited to start week 7, i am so thrilled of my progress, though skimming through the following weeks training in the app, and considering my actual speed, i would have to run for a complete hour to finish the 5k
  5. Hello!! I am SOOOOO proud to tell everyone that I managed W5D3!!!
  6. Did w5d1 today and seemed easier than w4. I hope next session (the 8m one) will be ok. During running there is a moment when i a get in a certain rythm of pace and breathing that makes me feel i a can keep on running much more. But doesnt happen all the time
  7. I am starting week 5 tomorrow amd feeli g excited and frightened! I am no t really worried about day one or two, it will be hard but i know i will do it, with some suffering off course. Day 3 seems really daunting! I am trying not to think about it, but it is hard. But everyone who writes about their experience finally manages to survive and finish it, i guess the important thing is to give it a try and try and try until you complete it! Sooooo, this will be week 5 , take 1
  8. Week 2 done! Started week 3 today and survived!
  9. Hi!! Last time i tried to start the program (months ago) i got injured in week 2
