Fat loss in the body can take a shorter or longer period depending on the individual. However, burning or loss of fat can take a very short period of time if proper diet is taken into consideration. Processed foods or refined sugars must be ignored and replaced with acceptable fats, protein and vegetables. Fibers and antioxidants should also be taken into consideration due to their ease of proper digestion and regulation of sugar in the blood. Observing the proposed meal plan would erase fear of regaining weight after loss if taken judiciously. Before we proceed let’s discuss some suitable food source for fat loss in the body. Good Morning! I just downloaded the c25k app and am ready to start running! I have been working out on average 4 days a week since August last year. I have lost 20 lbs which I am thrilled about but still have about 50 more to go. So, how does the app work exactly? Does it break down time for interval training with walking, jogging and running? I want to start after work today. Shannon

Currently starting my weight loss journey .. It's super hard because I tend to get cravings a lot and feel like I can't control my eating. I am young and attend school and feel super lazy when I get home and don't have the energy to workout Any tips for motivation and weight loss would help ! I also fee like I have no support system and I feel too embarrassed to ask my family .

Hi all, my name is Ann. I feel like I've started a "big new start" a thousand times before. It's a week of motivation and wanting to change but then fizzling out before anything sticks. Maybe I don't have the discipline or my motivation is for the wrong reasons, but I know I want to be better (harder, faster, stronger!). I'm female, 26 years old, 5'6" and hovering around 200lbs. I had some knee and hip issues that caused a lot of pain, but mostly I used them as an excuse because that was easier than confronting the fact that I was out of shape. The thing is, I remember when I was in decent shape. Never a hard body, but strong and healthy. I didn't love my body then, but did nothing about it. Now I'd kill to get back to that spot. I want to make a change, for good. Maybe these forums will help me? My husband just decided to train for a marathon out of the blue. (That's just who he is... He once decided to sign up for a 1/2 with no training and FINISHED it. WHO DOES THAT?!?) For once, I want to join him. Not talk about maybe doing something or being the wife who stands on the sidelines cheering while he actually like is living life. Obviously I'm not thinking of a 1/2 to start. I've failed so many times that I want to work on a reasonable goal that's not too far away from my level now. But if I could do a 10k that weekend, my heart would soar. Sorry if this is too long, but it's good to say a goal out loud, even if no one reads this. The 10k is May 7. Plenty of time, even if there are set backs or slow downs. Room to go a little slowly to take extra care of my knee. I'm excited!

Why It Is Harder For Females To Shed Fat Than Men
joannat-x posted a topic in Weight Loss / Fat Loss
It is common observation that men tend to lose weight quickly as compare to women. Women ever need 20 % more exercise to lose weight instead of men. There are a few reasons to describe the difference between both men and women in terms of weight loss: 1. Muscle mass of men and women is different naturally. Men’s muscle mass is more than the muscle mass of women, that’s why men burn more calories. Read More -
It is okay to balk at the idea of eating the same stuff on a regular basis. It sounds horrible, but it's actually something we often do already and it makes it easier to remember what gives you the best nutrition for a healthy diet overall -- not just for one meal. Moreover, it only sounds horrible. It's actually quite easy to do and still get variety. Just try it! Imagine you are having a veggie stir-fry sautéed in olive oil for dinner. Next week, make a garlic seasoning base. The week after, give it a tomato paste base. The next week, use the same ingredients to make veggie pancakes! There is no reason consistency has to be boring. visit www.weightlosssimplified.org

This may sound like fad diet blasphemy, but there is such a thing as good fat. You may not be able to find them lurking in the bakery section, but you can find them and turn them into delicious alternatives so both your taste buds and the rest of your body gets what it needs. One of foods that deliver a dose of these healthy fats are avocados, which you can mash, sprinkle with your favorite seasoning and use as an alternative sandwich spread. There is also salmon, all natural peanut butter, olive oil, nuts, nut oils and flax seed oil. visit www.weightlosssimplified.org

Here are some ideas of standing ab exercises that you can try today, just make sure you talk to your doctor first to make sure it's ok: 1. The first standing ab exercise you can try is to stand with your feet shoulder width apart, raise your arms straight above your head, slowly lower your arms while simultaneously raising one of your knees, keep your leg and arms at a 90 degree angle, put that leg down while raising your arms back up and alternate the same thing with the other leg. Do at least 30 sets on each side. 2. Stand with your legs shoulder width apart, take a step forward with one leg, carefully lift the leg that is forward a few inches off the floor, slowly make circles using just your foot - try to keep the leg still and straight, make 20 circles in one direction then (using the same foot) circle 20 times in the other direction, than alternate with the other leg. 3. Stand with your legs shoulder width apart, hold a 10 to 20 pound dumbbell in each hand, slowly lean to one side keeping your legs straight - this move should only involve your obliques (side abdominal) muscles, after you've completed 20 reps on one side, do the other side. Talk to your doctor before you start any exercise plan and if possible find yourself a personal trainer so that they can watch you and make sure you are using the proper form, otherwise you may injure yourself and that will only slow down your weight loss efforts.

Hi everyone! I just gave birth to my second baby girl on August 27th, 2015. I was doing great working out with Xbox Fitness while on maternity leave, but now that I'm back at work, I'm finding it very difficult to workout in the mornings or after work. A two year old and a 3 month old, it's tough! My solution to this is to run on my lunch breaks - either outside (downtown Portland) or on the treadmill in the gym at my work. And in between runs, I'm going to be doing weights at the gym or other strength training (squats, lunges, etc). I was at 233 the day before I had my baby. I'm now down to 206. My goal weight is 150ish (which is a size 6 for me; I have a ton of muscle and bone mass). I'm also using personaltrainerfood.com for lunch and dinners. I have to eat extra calories since I'm breastfeeding, but I'm averaging around a 700 calorie deficit per day. I find that when I'm breastfeeding, weight is very hard to lose - I know you have probably heard that weight just falls off when breastfeeding, but that's not true for a lot of women. Like me. I didn't lose a single pound of baby weight until after I stopped breastfeeding my first child at 18 months old. So I know this will be a long journey, but I'm ready to put in the work. I used to be really tough on myself when it came to working out. I used to totally fall apart if I had a bad diet day, or missed a day working out. I've changed my mentality now. Getting fit is about making good choices on a day to day basis. Bad days will happen. But every decision matters. I'm going to sign up for my first 5k soon. I'm thinking sometime in Feb or March. I haven't run a 5k since high school (cross country, 15 years ago). I'm nervous, but excited for it too! I'm so glad that I found this app! So neat. Good luck to you all. I'm looking forward to being a part of the community. :-) Kandis

Hey there! My name's Tyler and I'm a trans guy, working to get in shape for DCI (Drum Corps International) and the upcoming WGI season. I was a runner awhile back but fell off the pattern when the marching band season (12 hour days and then once school started 3+ hour rehersals) began, so I'm excited to pick back up! Drum corps is my main reason for running, because you have to be insanely in shape and even if I'm not auditioning this year it's good to get started! Feel free to ask me anything or talk about DCI and WGI with me!

So my name is Brittany and I'm hoping to get off my couch, lose weight, alleviate some of my back pain, get healthy, and get happy! I'm 23 and suffer from constant back pain due to a traumatic and partially unheard injury I acquired almost 2 years ago. I live in Michigan almost no just realized that it is October and I'm going to have to think of something crafty once there's snow on the ground. Can't risk doing any walking or running outside since one little slip could really mess me up. Please give me suggestions if you have any, lol! I'm currently at the highest weight of my life and I'm dying to do something about it!
