Good on you for making the decision to start! I agree with Rob that this program works, I couldn't run 30 meters without feeling like passing out when I started about 2 months ago ◡̈
Keep us posted!
I'm starting tonight when I get out of work. Nervous. I e made a plan before but didn't stick to it But fed up, clothes don't fit, tired. I've gained 30 pounds in the last year and ready to take control, get running, hopefully sign up for a 5k at some point and turn into a "runner" lol. Others are very inspirational with their stories!
Good point, thanks Ruthie! I've wondered how I was going to motivate myself to run through winter but totally forgot about the challenge of sweltering summer days!
Might just do a quick one today, or none at all.
You may want check out the running techniques sticky. If it works for you a running clinic is a good investment. Where I live (Northern California), my health insurance offers running and walking clinics with the objectives being injury avoidance and performance improvement.
YouTube also has some pretty good videos on drills and strengthening your core muscles (strong core muscles support a good running gait).
