Ditto on repeating the workouts as much as needed. I'm finally on week two and much less sore because I've taken longer breaks averaging two runs a week. Will probably repeat week two at least another week before moving on and feeling like I'm making progress. Just stop the brain from thinking and keep moving2 points -

Guess what! I managed The infamous w5d3 yesterday! It really wasn't as hard as I had initially thought a couple of weeks ago, Azatol, you were right, it's all in the mind! I had some extra energy and continue for a couple more minutes beyond the 20 minute mark. I did it against what I think was my better judgement, with my sore back because I didn't want to have to repeat days or go backwards. It didn't seem to aggravate it, which was great, but it hasn't improved much yet. A thread about back pain mentioned that it's due to the fact that our bodies are just getting used to exercise and the cure for it is exercise, any thoughts? http://forums.zenlabsfitness.com/topic/2206-back-pain/#entry113132 points -

Go queen.. If you have five kids and lived to tell then you are definitly a queen and what is a little running to u? You can eat this for breakfast with no salt as they say in these parts!1 point

Even if you weren't raised with awareness -u are obviously developing awareness now which is wonderful. Stick with it,think about what your food is giving (or taking from)you and learn as much as you can about healthy nutrition and you will be fine.1 point

You need to be very mindful about brushing your sore back out of your mind. It might be nothing but then again, it could be the beginning of serous trouble. I should know. I always listen to my back and like to take care of it the minute it starts bothering me...nip it in the bud...if it doesn't go away in a couple of days, if you have pain down your legs or in your pelvic area or if you can feel it in your bones go to the doc.1 point

You realize you just cracked the sercret of running? If you look at many half marathon training programs, you only run 10 miles before race day but the race is 13.1. Marathoners run in the area of 21 and then race 26.2. In fact, most people don't actually run 5K on the last day of the C25K program. Seeing a pattern?1 point

W6d1 was just one of those "off" runs. Bad planning, couple days of bad eating, and the treadmill kicked off on me AGAIN. Ran out the door and down the street for the last 15 minutes or so. Way colder out than I thought, and about froze my fingers off lol. I'll be re-doing this one tomorrow.1 point

This morning was chilly and raining. The people I was supposed to run with didn't show up so i was running alone. Just did an easy 6 miles. Knee feels pretty darn good!! Going to take it easy for another week to make sure she's truly healed then it's game on!!1 point

That's the spirit. Finish the program out of principle!!1 point

Here's a suggestion for you to try: run as slow as you can and note if you are having pain, breathlessness, and stitches. Are you having pain in your legs, feet, or ribs only? I know it's not always I popular opinion, but when I find sessions tough, I repeat them. Repeating entire "Weeks" for as many weeks as you want. Each time, your body gets stronger. In the first half of the program, I needed to repeat until the sessions felt "easy" instead of feeling like I got ran over by a train. If it was nerves, I'd tell you to continue on, that your body is ready, but I feel like you'd benefit more by listening to your body and letting yourself get stronger and boosted confidence right now.1 point
