jakeharmon
Just finished week 5 day 2. It has been going great. It had me run 3/4 mile and walk 1/2 did that twice. It was a hard workout. Took a look at my next day and it wasn't a me to run 2 miles without walking. That seems like a huge difference. I struggled with the 3/4 without stopping. Can someone help me out this doesn't seem right. Wanna Be a Runner
Speedingsloth
Hi Jake, I was in the same position as you. I thought there was a mistake in the program but trust the program and just go for it and see what you can do. Don't worry about the distance for now, it's the endurance that the program is aiming to build, focus on the 20 minutes instead of the 2 miles One thing that really helped me was to keep my phone in the pocket the whole time so that I'm not counting down and have some good music on and just keep running. All the best and keep us posted! ◡̈
jakeharmon
Just got done ran for 15 minutes straight and 1.5 miles. I was surprised I ran as long as I did. But feeling discouraged 5 minutes longer just seems like so much.
Breezee
15 minutes! Well done. I bet you could hardly run 1 minute a few weeks ago? Slow down to pace yourself. The time is more important than the distance at this stage.

Wendell
Jake, first of all, great job! Breezes is right on though, pace is everything. Focus on your breathing, music, anything other than how much time you have left to go. Mileage doesn't matter, endurance does right now. This app is crazy how it works, just trust in it. You'll amaze yourself! Good luck, you can do this!

Rob129
I feel the same way,my next run is 20 mins, scared but anxious to see what I can do. You have made a ton of progress- find a good pace & you'll get it done. In no time an easy run will be 5K.
torus_ot
I feel the same way,my next run is 20 mins, scared but anxious to see what I can do. I was scared too. So scared that I run 25 min instead of 20, and then added 5 more min run after 5 min walk. Choose your pace wisely and you will feel great about yourself! Now I just finish w6d3 - 22 min run and then added 10 more min run after 3 min walk. This is my win strategy - low pace! I will go for speed when I complete the program.
