Britny17
What are the pros and con's of each? And if someone has or has had either one or both can you let me know what you thought of it?
kit1204
I have the fitbit flex, and I love it, there are different fitbits so it all depends on what you want to track Susie Glover and divajennm
KellyAnn
Hey there. I've gone through a lot of Fitbit's. Switched to a few others and now I have the FItBit Surge. Oh my. I LOVE it sooo much. I will never switch again. Now this unit is pricey but soooo worth it. It tracks everything. Heartbeat, sleep, steps, floors, how many calories you burn in a day. It adjusts your calories and what you need to eat the next day on the app. I don't sleep with it on as I gotta get it off of me at night. Just drives me crazy, lol. But it is cool at how it tracks your sleep. I do hear people love the Jawbone. So it's up to you how much you want to spend. Good luck. divajennm
I have the Fitbit Charge. It's s little pricey.... $159 I believe. It even has caller ID for my cellphone which helps me a lot since I tend to turn the ringer off half the time. This one will not track your HR but does what the others do. It does have an actual display whereas some of the smaller, less expensive ones do not.
Kings joker
I've got the Fitbit HR and I love it!! I've had it for a few months now and haven't gotten bored of it yet. I actually only got it for the extra security of the traditional watch band but man I really love the heart rate feature. I thought I would never use it and it was just the extra $20 from the normal charge but it's so helpful. In exercise mode it will tell you your avg heart rate and peak HR so you know to push harder or whatever your goal is. Plus the caller ID and the silent alarm is fantastic! Bought it on kind of a spree because my dad had one and it was such a great choice! My brother is switching from jawbone to Fitbit soon

KellyAnn
My Surge broke and all I had to do is show them a receipt and it was from 6 months ago and FitBit sent me a new one that I am wearing right now. I AM SOOOO IN LOVE with the SURGE!!!!!!!!!!!
SteveJ
Jealous! The Surge looks awesome! I have the Fitbit Charge HR and love it. I'll start the Fitbit app to track my run GPS - which right now is circles around my block I like it more for the stats (time, calories, steps, and heart rate. Ming121
I have the Fitbit Surge and truly love it @ Susie I have wireless earbuds as well and have not problem listing to my own music. Fitbit is just a tracker really has nothing to with not being able to listen to your music. I either listen to my own or Pandora and I use a couple other apps and still am able to listen to my music. KellyAnn
FITBIT is an awesome product. I loved all the ones I had. I just sold my Surge on Ebay and bought an Apple watch which I love love!
Tatiana
@KellyAnn!!! I was just wanting to post "FitBit Surge vs. Apple Watch". Which do you prefer??? Tatiana
KellyAnn
Hey sweetie Tatiana, I has the Fitbit Surge for a year after haing all the fitbits. Lol. I am an OCD Gadget Girl. It stopped working after a year, called Fitbit amd proved I bought it within a year from Amazon. They sent me a brand new Fitbit Surge. So cool. Great company. I sold it on Ebay for $200. I bought an Apple Watch and will bever go anywhere else again. It depends on what you want it to do. Disclaimer - I am not selling a product, it is my opinion. Fitbit is great. Im such a Gadget Queen and half to have the latest product. Love my watch. I dont like everyone knowing how many steps Indo everyday, and Fitbit and Myfitnesspal are too nosey for me. I can be incognito with the watch. Lol. I saw on Fitbit where some people had 50,000 steps a day. Ok, did you put it on your dog??? Lol. I am really active and even with a broken foot I get 2-5 miles a day in my own house. Thats about 6000 steps. 50,000 steps is not real. Ok. Maybe working at a chain store all day but.......... Hope this helps you. Cost is an issue , so you have to decide that. But I would not trade my Watch for anything different. Hugs!!! SteveJ
Glad to hear you like the Apple Watch KellyAnn - I've been looking for a decent review from someone and have been on the fence. It seems like a nice watch...my biggest concern with the Apple Watch is that it keeps you so connected to everything else (I'd worry that I'd be getting notification after notification when running has become my zen where I crank my tunes and ignore all other technology and 'unplug' for a bit). Actually thinking about a Garmin running watch for my next 'upgrade', although my Fitbit Charge HR is still ticking great. I did have a problem with the floor counter (I was getting over 100 floors registered during times where I could verify I wasn't climbing a single one...contacted Fitbit since it was less than a year old and they sent me a new one without any issues - you're right, great company and great customer service!) cobugi
I used to LOVE my fitbit charge HR! It tracks the heart rate so well, and I like how it's so sleek! Unfortunately it didn't last. It fell apart and stopped syncing. I got an Apple watch instead. But as far as tracking the HR it does not even come close to comparing with the fitbit. It is so slow... I got the surge for the husband but he does not wear it, he thinks it's to bulky. I do not want to wear it either for the same reason. It's a matter of personal preference. Jdavis
I had a Jawbone up 24 and it went unresponsive . I tried to troubleshoot the problem with no luck. I called customer service and they replaced my device free of charge with a model newer because they don't make the 24 anymore. I now have an Up2 and love it. I didn't need a heart rate monitor one because if I were interested in the feature my phone can do that. At $79 retail is a great device. Highly recommend for the ocerall, but company baked their product 100%.
Guest aaron24j
I have a surge, which is perfect for someone like me who does multiple exercises like biking/running/and walking, Its pricey but definitely worth it!! You can do so much with fitbit, set weight goals, watch/log calorie intake, how much you burn in a day, you can view your sleep! I love my surge! I've never had a jawbone..Don't know anyone who has one yet.. Hope this helps
Nimbulaxan
Not that this is really helpful, but I loved my BodyMedia armbamd before Jawbone bought the company then killed the product. Do to my work, I cannot have something around my wrist so the lack of any good armband product has killed the wearable tech for me. If anybody knows of any good product I could use that doesn't go on the wrist I would really appreciate the input.
Embeeous
I started out with a Misfit, a dynamite simple little tracker with a fantastic user interface, but a very limited iOS app. I next moved to the Jawbone 24 I believe, returned it within a week, both the device and app were flaky and unusable imho. I finally spent the big bucks and got the Fitbit Charge HR, love it, no complaints - comfortable, easy to use, spectacular performance, great battery life, and tight integration with the Fitbit iOS app. I actually liked the Fitbit app before they decided to "improve" it but it's still solid. Usually the comparison I hear is between an Apple Watch vs. a Fitbit Charge or Surge, really no contest in terms of Jawbone vs. Fitbit imo. Get the most Fitibit that you can afford, they are all great devices.
