I'm sorry, I just reread your post. You asked about calories. MapMyFitness is great for tracking calories and interfaces nicely with either MapMyRun or Runkeeper.

I use both MapMyRun and Runkeeper. I use both because I like the while running statuses each provide. One reports your pace and distance every five minutes and the other provides status at each mile.

I'm the challenge today. Considering you've been successful until now, I suspect it's a mind over matter issue. Believe me when I tell you, your body can do it regardless of what the voice in your head is chanting.

W6D3 in the books! Found myself, for the first time, begging for the tone releasing me from jogging. I was tired, but I held on and DID IT!! Unbelievable that I am doing this...blows my mind! I am a runner. I really am, and it feels great!

Good morning. I've just completed day 1 run 1.. the dog and I completed it together . Although I walk him daily and swim , I am pretty unfit, overweight and have a chronically bad back . I felt hugely self- conscious this morning. Any tips for overcoming that would be much appreciated . Thankyou

Accept that people notice you running, but also accept they are wishing they too were out there caring for themselves as you are. They aren't judging you, your pace, or how you look exercising. They are judging themselves for not doing so.

Through the settings menu I had to set the volume all the way up. She comes through my bluetooth headphones at the perfect level. I did have to adjust my media volume slightly higher as well.

You couldn't possibly be more unfit than I am. However, I'm please to report I completed the C25k and am on W11D2 of the 10k app. The key is to just say yes. The freaking app works! I'm slow too but did 3.9 miles yesterday. 11 weeks ago I couldn't run to the end of my driveway. Just say yes.

Skipping a day between runs is key. It gives your body time to heal and rebuild. Pushing it just risks injury. Give it a try next week and see how it goes.

W10D2 is behind me! I'm on my way! Distance was 3.5 miles, so a bit short, but I'm still happy with my progress!!

W9D3 is behind me! My day 2 run is always my best run, as is my 2nd mile. Anyone have patterns they've noticed?

I started for the same reason...putting myself first. Sounds selfish but I've found it really isnt. I have more energy to give to others, I'm happier and most of all I'm nicer to be around. In the end, by taking care of me first, I've found I have more to offer. Good luck to you! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Today I finished c25k! I did it in the prescribed eight-week regimen laid out in the app. I knew going into it I was going to have to repeat weeks maybe several times to finish. But you know what, I didn't. I didn't repeat a single day. I cannot believe it! I still need to work on my pace, I'm at 14 minutes a mile but I'm doing it! My 5K isn't until November so I have time to improve. I'm sticking with it. I'm a runner!

Good for you! I started this app 7 weeks ago and am thrilled with the progress. It has been a gentle increase in expectations setting me up for success. Congratulations to you on your decision to do it!

Just completed W6D2 and I ran when I was told and walked when I was told which is good. Unfortunately, I still don't have the distance. My 5k isn't until November, but I worry about my speed and wonder if I'll ever finish a 5k in 40 minutes?

Additionally map my run and runkeeper apps record greater distance than c25k. Any ideas what's going on?
