  1. I am so happy to report that although it may be hard to believe, i jogged 33 minutes today! I was supposed to do W7 d3 today but when the voice said "start walking" at minute 28, i still had gasoline left, so i decided to keep running, and so i did until the final 5 minute cool down was finished, and probably i could have ran a bit more, i feel so accomplished

  2. Hi everyone, I am quite shocked and ecstatic because I remember just 2 weeks ago struggling with the 3 minute jogs, then just last week getting my butt kicked by the 5 minite jogs and just 2 days ago stressing over 8 minutes! Somehow the 20 minute jog felt easier than many of my previous workouts and I'm not sure why, maybe the fact that I did it at almost 2 am when the air is cool and breezy (I live in Miami). For 2 weeks I've been dreading this day and having major doubts, but today I tried not to even think about it and just got out there with my boyfriend and my dog who have been doing the program with me (doggy loves it). I focused extensively on my breathing and spent a good few minutes doing stretches right before the jog. Any of you who haven't done it yet, please don't be afraid or discouraged, I am not in good shape (yet) and if I could do it on my first try so can you. 5 weeks completed on schedule! woo hoo!

  3. Finished week 5 this morning. I ran all twenty minutes without stopping even though I wanted to....used the street lights as mini goals ("I'll stop for a moment once I get past it"....then I reset the goal until I reached the cool down). My pace wasn't where I wanted it to be but it'll come, hopefully. During the last month, I've been logging everything I eat and managing portion size which has helped me to lose 8 lbs; I don't like dieting so this has worked well for me.

I cannot believe I just ran 20 minutes!!! Okay, so it was slow, but holy smokes, no stopping! First try! Seriously, I'm a fat person. And I just did this. I am recommending this app to everyone I know.

    Repeating a day?

When you repeat a Day, the old data is wiped out. The app only records the last session of each Day.

  7. Friday I did W2D2 and it didn't feel like enough. It was almost too easy... Yesterday I started W3D1 and THAT wasn't enough. I had too much "in the tank" and the end of the segments to let it go - so I improvised. After a bit of walking, I ran an extra 5+ minutes. No more than that - I didn't want to push things too far - but I got that feeling of stretching my endurance out - that ache that tells you you're building something inside. By this morning, almost all the aches are gone. Today is for getting back on the bike and tomorrow it's W3D2 and maybe more.... I'm hoping that getting back into a regular routine will get me back to losing more weight. I seem to have stalled out around 175 (down from 197 in January).

  8. Hey guys, So I was under the weather so was stuck on the 8th week for last 10 days or so. Took a rest yesterday and was feeling pretty fresh today morning. Started the nike app and just kept running. Stopped sometime after 40 mins. 6K done and dusted. 10K training starts tomorrow. I at right now on my lowest weight since last 4 years and this is my highest running distance of all time. Hopefully this continues. Wanna run my first half marathon next Feb. Make pace and keep running... Cheers

Not smoked for 9 days after 30 years and just finished week 1. It's amazing how good jogging makes you feel.
