    Run, Fat Boy, Run

i have finally gone and did it. Completed W1D1 of C25K. I am 46 years old and weigh near 300 lbs & I have come to the conclusion that I have a very hard time dieting and I really like beer, so I decided I need to put in a check system to keep me honest. I have signed up for my first 5k at the end of October (Halloween) and the long term plan is to run a 5k at least once a month from there forward. Pleased to meet "all of y'all" here and look forward to talking with you. Cheers, MightyFez

    Knee pain

Not sure if I should keep doing this or not. I'm 54 and new to running. This has been challenging but doable, but now in week 3 I am having knee pain. Yesterday with every step (of running) it hurt, so I didn't complete the workout. I have never had knee problems before and I'm not sure I want to invite them at age 54. But I also don't know if maybe it will work itself out. Should I keep running through the pain or is that a sign something is wrong? I am trying to stretch really well before and after. Any advice?

    Overweight, Week01 Day01

Hi, I'm overweight, not really used to jogging or running. My week 1 day 1 didn't go well today, lost my breath, felt weakness & cold, thought I would faint. I paused the app @9min timer (which includes 5min warmup). Do I need to walk and build my stamina first or can I directly start day 1 of week 1? Any suggestions on how to improve myself? Thank you.

    Hello from Orlando!!

Hi everyone! I decided to start this program because I want to get back into great shape. I used to dance 6 hours a day but I was injured and had to quit ballet. College got in the way and I haven't danced in two years, I've tried to keep up with some physical activity by doing yoga and running but I've never really stuck to anything, I think this schedule will help me be held accountable for running while building up my endurance and strength so I can go back to dance. Ive heard great things about the couch to 5k schedule and I'm really excited to get started tomorrow! I wish you all good luck in your prospective journeys and I hope everyone's having a lovely day!!

  8. Yes. Definitely doing other workouts challenges your body, etc.... Keeps your body guessing and therefore more toning amd weightloss. Love love the other apps too. I was so sore the other day doing them. Love it. Happy running amd good luck.

    My first day

Tonight was my wk1, day1. I couldn't only do half of the workout, but I'm glad I accomplished at least that for now. I didn't mark my day 1 as complete, obviously, but I REALLY need & want to do this! Much love to all my fellow newbies!

    Distance vs. Time

Hi Josh!!! I'm currently on wk8, but I very vividly remember that wtf moment in wk5!!! I felt like the plan was playing a dirty trick on me! But during those runs (and all of them since) I kept telling myself that a lot of research went into this program so I must be able to do it... After all IT'S SCIENCE!!!! Just keep repeating those two words over and over when you feel like you can't make it!! Hope that helps
