  3. Hi KO, Well, you are so welcome. I can't live without a pedometer. Look online for some strength training ideas. Look up muscle building, strength training, etc.. Ohh, there are apps too. ZenLabs has great ones for push-ups, abs, lunges, etc. those are the best. I also have an app called Maxmuscle. There are lots of apps for weight lifting. It walks you through each workout. So, what I like to do is this, one day I do only my upper body, chest, back, biceps, triceps, shoulder. One day I do lower body, legs, abs, calves, etc.., then one day the whole body body shaping. I start out with smaller weights and end with heavy weights. So if you start with a light weight, for the first reps, then by the time you get to the last reps, I am on a real heavy weight. So for 3 sets of reps I do this , first with light weights, I do 15 reps, pick up a heavier weight and do 12 reps, then a heavier with I do 10 reps. There are so many things online that you can print out. If you need some help, let me know and I can look some up for you. Thanks for asking, I love helping. Good luck.

  4. Hi KO, First let me tell you, Welcome on here. Congrats on kickboxing and losing weight already. That's awesome. I love love kickboxing and taught that for years. My favortie class ever. My tips? Get great shoes, that's so number one. If you can't run, don't stress at all, walk, and you will build up as you go. Repeat days if you need to. It sounds like you are fairy active and do you wear a pedometer while you work? I betcha you are taking lots of steps in a day. That's great exercise. Add in some strength training days too. That burns tons of calories and keeps on burning way after too. Drink lots and lots of water. Half your weight in ounces. That's 109 oz for you a day. If you can, that sounds like a lot of potty stops to me. I drink 80 oz a day. Anyways. You are doing great. Proud of you. This is a big step. But you are already working out a lot now. That's awesome. Keep it up and keep us posted. Hugs to you.

  5. Way to go on the new life style! I fairly new to thie program too, so I don't have any tips. I'm also not a runner at all, and I've managed to get to week 3 so far, so you can do it too! Keep up the good work!

  6. 22 minutes on the bike 30 minutes treadmill New exercises added. Now doing the following for knee and rib rehab Calf stretch on block Piriformis stretch Rib cage self-mobilization Hands on knees push and hold Diagonal leg kick (balance exercise that actually plows my legs AND I CAN DO IT in my condition!! ) Knees didn't feel great on the treadmill at 2.4MPH. We have some healing left to do still. It's just amazing. A week and a half ago I could run 3 miles at 11 minutes a mile. Now I'm walking a 25 minute mile with a bit of discomfort. Heh. Let's hope it reverses as well when this is all done. I suspect I'll need to retrain /shrug. My right Ankle Dorsiflexion is now 9 degrees and the left is 13 degrees. They both need to be able to deflect 15 degrees before I get back on the pavement. LOTS more calf stretching needed

    kick starting

Used to die trying to step up into my husband's truck after work. Last night I got into the truck with no problem. The only major change I've made is following this program. Loving it!

Life got in the way some. I just finished w2d2. Feeling pretty good in spite of missing some days. I have a lot more confidence that I will be able to run the 5k for my birthday.

  10. Hey Toonap, you're welcome, and awwwwww!!! I felt so badly for you! You are missing your runs!!!! I love that quote too. However, remind yourself that the worst run ever could also be getting back out there too soon, which means you possibly risk further injury, and more missed days of running. Hang in there and as Nadara shared, listen to your body. <3

  11. LOL Omgosh Kelly ... I keep learning new things here! I couldn't resist looking up Monkey Butt Powder. Mind you it is the only site that I read. It made me giggle, and for lack of a better word I thought, "Cool!!"
