  1. Ended up off for a while because of life but finished W3D1. Need to finish this even more now because my sister is going to come into town to run with me for my birthday.
  2. Got knocked off because of a stolen vehicle and all the mess of taking care of the insurance issues plus working days and nights. Schedule settels down on Saturday plus our truck has been found. Did W3D1 and don't feel to bad in spite of the time off. I also found out my sister wants to come here to run with me for my birthday!
  3. Week two done! I'm really feeling good at the end of the runs now. I'm breathing easier and didn't realize I was at the end until the nice lady told me to cool down!
  4. Week 2 complete! I actually managed to not curl over the grips of the treadmill for the first time today and thought I had one more set to do when I hit the cool down.
  5. Used to die trying to step up into my husband's truck after work. Last night I got into the truck with no problem. The only major change I've made is following this program. Loving it!
  6. Because of a combination of hip problems and arthritis I'm doing this program at a walk and walk faster instead of running until I lose some weight. I'm half way on week two with redoing a couple days in week one. Just remember to listen to your body and don't give up.
  7. I also used to run when I was in high school. That was a very long time ago for me. I'm in week two right now and it's getting easier each day. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. My 26th anniversary will be 4 days later. You're in for an amazing adventure, enjoy the ride.

  10. Life got in the way some. I just finished w2d2. Feeling pretty good in spite of missing some days. I have a lot more confidence that I will be able to run the 5k for my birthday.

  14. W2D1 done! That was easier than I expected. I've gotten past the screaming calves and feel like nothing can stop me now.
  15. Just remember how long it took to get where you are now. It will probably take a little longer to get to where you want to be. I'm right with you, been sliding down hill physically for about 12 years and started working my way back out of the hole this past week. Baby steps and one day at a time. I'm sure we'll see back slides but with the support here we can make it.
  16. Just finished day three week one. I did this day twice because I was really hurting the first time. Now I feel confident that I can move on to week two. Feeling good physically and great mentally.

  18. Day three week one done. I did it twice because my calves were still screaming the first time. I feel confident for moving on to week two.
  19. Day three week one done for a second time. This time my calves aren't screaming so I feel confident for going on to week two.
  20. Diet has never been my problem, I just stopped moving as much when I started working 4-5 days a week. I got day three week one finished yesterday. I'm going to do it one more time because my calves are really feeling it. I'm starting to look forward to my time on the treadmill.
  21. Finished day 3 week one. I think I will repeat day 3 one more time because my calves are really feeling it during the run. Other than that I'm feeling really good so far.
  22. Since I'm just walking slow and fast I shouldn't have any problems with it being to hard on my body. My biggest problems will most likely be getting out of my own head.
  23. I'm far out of shape and I'm doing the first run through with walking slow and then a little faster for the run part. Once I've gotten through the program once that way I feel I should be able to run doing the program a second time. This will make it possible for me to run a 5k this summer.
  24. Started the c25k this week and did day 2 week one today. I'm just walking slow then faster during the run part because of how far out of shape I am. By doing this once walking then a second time running I should be able to do a 5k by my birthday in July. It took me a long time to get this bad so it will not be an overnight transformation. If everything works health wise I'm hoping to be able to do the Detroit Free Press half marathon in 2016.
  25. Buddies are always a good thing to have. I will not quit no matter what. Day two has been completed and it feels good sweating like this. I'm going to do this every other day so it's harder to skip a day. Hubby is definitely cheering me on also since he asked me if I had any plans after the treadmill for Tuesday since we both have the day off.
