    I've seen the wireless ones and they seem really intriguing, but i currently use a pair by Ironman (i think they were $25ish). They loop over the top of my ear so even if the bud pops out while i'm running it won't fall swinging by my side for me to try to chase down.

    It was only 5 weeks ago for me. Best suggestion is don't watch the time. Dig in and pace yourself and go until told to stop. Watrching the time to your next walk phaze helps your mind defeat you. Let it be surprised.

  5. Red, I'm a mom to a 6yo and a 3yo. My sis in law and I are "tough buddies" to each other...sending a text to the other when we would rather lie on the couch at night than get in a workout, knowing the other will reply to get up right now and get on the treadmill, just do 5 min, you will feel better...usually ends up with then doing a full workout once we get going. I totally understand what you are looking for, and would be happy to be accountability buddies with you too.

    I have found that paying attention to my post workout by hydrating and intensive stretching really helped some of my muscle issues (when i ran cross country in school and again now that i'm training for my 5k). My favorite routine is Runners Yoga, a sequence i found on Pintrest with detailed explinations and photos. Don't let the term "yoga" be intimidating...its a simple series of stretches i did on my living room floor with the cat trying to burrow in my hair. Good luck and serious KUDOS for listening to your body!!

  10. 20 below here in MI too...the indoor track was nice & cozy this morning! ; ). Week 1 down...ready for more!
