Jchap12
After I workout I'm never hungry, which I feel like is odd because most people are. I can workout before breakfast and not be hungry all day. However I know I need to eat something because I need to refuel. Just wondering if anyone had any advice on small meals that would help with the refueling without making me feel like I'm eating a lot when I'm not really hungry. Jorge Gonzales
You should have a proper pre workout protein so that it gets utilized while your are exercising. That way you'll feel hungry as soon as you'll complete your workout.
hanakuin
Depends upon the length of the workout and intensity. I usually will hit a banana or avocado with lots of water. Pre-workout I try to time about 45 min off of a meal or will drink a whole fruit and vegetable blend with some Epic protein powder. I'm normally not hungry either unless I do an hour of cardio. Whether it is C25k or hiking.
louisvuitton
JChap see that you eat something inorder to recharge your body. Your stomach should empty for more than eight hours, If it so you will develop gastric problems and pain in the stomach. Also you will feel overweight due to build up of gas in stomach. I can workout before breakfast and not be hungry all day. I, also, am not hungry after working out. I think it's because the workout, whether exercising or running, causes some kind of hormones to go into the blood. I've been trying to do intermittent fasting, so this works quite well for me. On days I run I do drink coffee with zero carb almond creamer. Since this is an old post, you have probably figured things out, but I think having an intermittent fasting schedule might be a good idea. That way you can set a time to eat and a time to stop eating each day. Reddit has some good information on intermittent fasting.
michaeljonnes
Immediately after training and do not need to eat. It can be a portion of protein and a few carbohydrates to replenish energy. A full meal should be taken in 30-40 minutes. It's hard to give you good advice without understanding your diet.
louiseweaver
Sometimes I feel the same way. I am a fan of protein shakes from metagenics! I can drink them even when I don't feel super hungry and that helps me from crashing or going without any nutrition at all.
