ap726
Hey all, new to running and after lots of pushing by runner friends I got up the courage to download and try c25k. I'm a mother of a beautiful 6 year old and turned 30 early this year. I have worked in fast food the last 4 years and have gained unwanted weight due to long hours and eating on the job. I recently moved and started a new position where I am seated most of the day. I do not want to continue gaining and feeling horribly. Today I did workout 1, I was fairly proud of myself for making it through the 30 mins even though I had to skip 2 running segments. I live in a hilly area so if it had all been flat I may have been able to get through all of them. If I keep this up I may like running after all! Wendell
Good job!! Whatever you do, don't quit. And there is no shame in running slowly. Pace is the trick to getting through it. You've already taken the hardest step by beginning!
Speedingsloth
Great job on getting started! As Wendell has mentioned, don't quit, and take it one day at a time.
