Anne Lang
So yes i love my chocolate. I am 51 have 2 children 22 and 14. I am 5ft 5inches and about 12 yrs ago i was 165 pounds. I stayed that way for a long time even though i was active here and there. Then my energy level dropped way down. In 2011 I played biggest looser at work and just by walking more and counting calories and trying to cut out processed foods i got down to 140. I was able to maintain 140 -150 without realy trying . Then last christmas we played biggest looser at my new job I started walking the hallway at work on lunch and hula hooping at home and counting calories again. I added some simple no equipment needed strenghth training . I didnt. win this time but i got down to 130. I now go up and down from 130-135.I have not given up my chocolate or some of my other sweets but my walk was getting too long and no challenge so I thought run. And no way could i do that. 20 seconds and I couldn't breath. Then while googling how to run and breath I found this app. So I'm on w2d3 tomorrow. I love running even though I had a very small set back a week or so ago with my calf and started the program over. Anyway I feel better more energy and I seem to be holding at 130 for now. Today was a strength training day. Proud that I am back up to my winter reps next is more weight. My original postings are under injuries felt a pop but I wish to move on from that so tonight I started my runners journal here. New posts wont be as long as this one. I have found internet searches to be my way of finding out how to get healthy and fit that works for me good luck to all on your journeys. Jeshi
Anne, congrats on loosing and maintaining the weight. That's wonderful! I'm looking forward to reading your running journal  I also love, love, love chocolate, especially dark chocolate and chocolate fountains. I'm quite picky on my chocolate. I want a creamy, decadent, dark chocolate that's individually wrapped so I can enjoy small portions as a treat. I haven't been eating chocolate regularly recently because I tend to go overboard. Anne Lang
Im not suposed to eat any cause im allergic to it but i have found a small amount every day is the right. amount to stay desensitezed. The darker the better I have even eaten bakers pure coco or 99 percent whatever . No running today cause i did run some yesterday and the rain was too heavy today so i did my strength stuff and walked the hallway at work for 20 min fast paced i will get week 2 done i will
Anne Lang
so i tried to do w2d3 this morning but due to a lack of time thanks to my teen i didnt get the last run in and i had to shut phone off and do my cool down while i was working so my run was not complete did a redo tonight after work i am now using the pro version and it said 1.8 miles in 31 min realy do not know if that is good or not but it is official i did it my misfit said 2.2 miles in 31 min so whatever. Im happy my leggs and feet didnt seem to mind 2 runs in one day but im going to try not to do that again. wet leaves are a bit slippery so i know it is not the cold this winter im worried about it is the snow in the way making streets narrow and sidewalks dissapear and then there is the ice ah well one day at a time im cooking some dinner now and i will have my chocolate after that

Sean90
I thought you were going to go get fitted and not order online?
Jeshi
Anne, if you want to use MapMy apps to track your shoes, you can just choose a model and give it a nickname, and then choose that one each time you use your shoes (were you the one with Reeboks?) That way you can easier get a general idea when to change your shoes.  For your speed, don't worry about it. Run at the pace that's comfortable for YOU to talk. You will speed up at the end; just focus on increasing your endurance. Anne Lang
Anne Lang
i bought my running shoes for walking back in august at an outlet store before i decided i needed to run and before i found this app and great gang
Ruthie
Anne - check the soles every now and then - see if they are getting worn down unevenly and if the cushion is wearing down. Walking shoes have more cushion in the heals and less along the foot than running shoes do. I would hate to buy new shoes after such a short period of time.. This guy seems gives good information on shoes but I am not sure I want to buy the 200 mile thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH07-eIi6Js There is some pretty good information on this one too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0tmSlOGE0A
Anne Lang
Ruthie my shoes are running shoes because when i was researching walking shoes i was thinking of doing speed walking and learned running shoe would be better. shoes seem fine still thanks for the 2 sites good info
Azatol
When buying shoes int he future, it's a good idea to have your pronation checked by a running store. Using the wrong type of shoe can make running uncomfortable(And cause trhe afformentioned uneven wear). I'm a neutral pronator and tried a pair of Stability Shoes (For overpronators) and it hurt my knees. There are 3 kinds of shoe (Stability, Neutral, Suprinator). You want to have the right type

Just ask them what kind of pronator you are so in the future you'll know immediately what type of shoes you will want.
