  1. Thank you Breezee! I feel amazing and simultaneously shocked. Still cannot believe I'm capable of this!
  2. W11D3 done! 4.25 miles...makes me slow but steady. I took a new path and really enjoyed it. I made up my mind I was going to run to a specific intersection. Alas, she said "begin walking" before I made it there SO I KEPT RUNNING!! Right on!
  3. I enjoy an Oikos yogurt drink with my breakfast. High protein and low calorie.
  4. W11D2 is in my rearview! Not as good as monday, but felt great.
  5. You couldn't possibly be more unfit than I am. However, I'm please to report I completed the C25k and am on W11D2 of the 10k app. The key is to just say yes. The freaking app works! I'm slow too but did 3.9 miles yesterday. 11 weeks ago I couldn't run to the end of my driveway. Just say yes.
  6. It will alert you when you compete the time.
  7. W11D1 finished and it was one of my best runs! I felt great! I needed that because W10D3 was awful. I was tired and struggled last week so I was intimidated to begin this week.
  8. Finished W10D3 today and it was a struggle. I did more up hill than normal and I was just plum tired. Nervous about next week's progression.
  9. Out of bed into running gear and go. Nothing in the tank, though I've never been able to eat as soon as I get up. I typically don't eat until I'm up a couple hours. Unconventional I know, but it works for me. I did notice I need to increase my fluids significantly.
  10. W10D2 is behind me! I'm on my way! Distance was 3.5 miles, so a bit short, but I'm still happy with my progress!!

  12. Fear of failure is a real thing, I get it. Believe me when I tell you that you will be pleasantly surprised with your progress. Stick with it and you'll be amazed.

  14. W10D1 completed this morning...in the drizzle and darkness. I was dealing with the devil trying to talk myself out of running this morning, but I went and am glad I did!
  15. Way to go Blayne! Congratulations! How do you feel?
  16. W9D3 is behind me! My day 2 run is always my best run, as is my 2nd mile. Anyone have patterns they've noticed?
  17. You'll come back. It's a competitive spirit...You'll come back.
  18. I started for the same reason...putting myself first. Sounds selfish but I've found it really isnt. I have more energy to give to others, I'm happier and most of all I'm nicer to be around. In the end, by taking care of me first, I've found I have more to offer. Good luck to you! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
  19. Once it's repaired and you heal as prescribed will you be able to begin again? Or does this mean you'll never run again? As ambitious as you are you'll find a way back, right?
  20. *Meant to say, I'm sorry about the challenge today.
  21. I'm the challenge today. Considering you've been successful until now, I suspect it's a mind over matter issue. Believe me when I tell you, your body can do it regardless of what the voice in your head is chanting.
  22. I'm not sure how I'm doing it, but I completed W9D2 today. I'm stoked!
