catlynk got a reaction from Bstern in Running with water?
I run with a slim fanny pack (to hold my phone and keys) and tuck the water bottle in the back using the belt to hold it. And before I had the Fannypack I just used to put the bottle in my back using my pants to hold it.

You can do this! I started the app Mid January, finished March 16th. When I started I was 230# and finished at 215.
I personally did the program 6 days a week until week 7 when I went back to three days a week.
I have friends that have repeated weeks when they felt they weren't ready to MoveOn. Just keep it up and you'll feel great at the end of the eight weeks!

So, I've fallen off, the last time I trained properly was in January, doing week10 before travelling then falling quite ill for a few months and also a family emergency to cap it off. I'm now recovered, (thank God!!!) and am keen to get moving again.
I thought that I'd lost all fitness and maybe not, so I started back on W5 D3(since it is the mentally challenging run) and went for my first run in 3+ months last week and nearly passed out, a pretty funny sight, sitting on the sidewalk and little children walking past LOL! I laced up and tried again and completed W5D3 with a little air to spare. Didn't clock as well with the pace, but hey, I was glad to be moving.
I'm planning my next run tomorrow, and will be aiming for 25 minutes. A little apprehensive(and slightly unmotivated), but also excited! I'm in need of some major bum kicking to make sure I'm kept accountable

Last time I made it all the way to week 8 day 3 and just stopped. Feel horrible about it due to all the lost. My wife shipped off for the military and I have my two kids all to my self. So didn't really have time to run. Now I am making time. I'm on week 3 day 2. Going to finish this time no matter what. And make running a permanent part of my life. I also have goals to enlist in the army when she gets back from basic training and AIT

Week 3, Day 1 (Speedy version)
Took 10 min warm um and 10 min cool down before workout:
All walks are 3.8 mph, 4% incline.
5min walk
2 x ( 1.5min run - 1.5min walk; 3min run - 3min walk) Runs were 6.5 mph with 3% incline.
Extra 2min 7mph run with 1% incline
5min walk
Last 3min run interval was very difficult, but I manage to push through and after 3 min walk I was ready for the extra.
Total time (with my prolonged warm-up and cool-down) 48 min, 3.5 miles...
UPDATE - Apr 06, 2016 (instead of creating new post)
Week 3, Day 2 (Speedy version)
I did 1 mile walk before and after workout (3.5mph, incline 3%)
Workout itself :
All walks are 3.8 mph, 4% incline.
5min walk
2 x ( 1.5min run - 1.5min walk; 3min run - 3min walk) Runs were 6.5 mph with 3% incline.
Extra 2min 7mph run with 1% incline
5min walk
This time last 3min interval was bearable, I did not have any doubts about going for the extra running interval.
Total time is 1h5min, distance is 4.35 miles

So today I decided to power walk yesterday's 2.5 miles. I did it in 43 min 32 seconds. That's 1 minute and 45 seconds faster than yesterday's run. My average heart rate walking was 130 compared with yesterday's 140.
My target heart rate at 85% is 140
So I'm wondering which is better, walking a faster pace or running slower but being at the 85 percentile target heart rate.
I would appreciate any experienced runners giving me their opinion.

It is Wednesday, there is no point to start week 2. I decided to try interval training for couple of days.
It is light version of the training I have found on the internet. I have to adapt it to my abilities.
2.5 mils, 32min, average pace is under 14.

You should be like a cat! Ignore everybody, do what you want. People in the gym do not care, why you shoud care about what everybody think. Do what is important to you!

I have completed week 7 and feel great! 2.5 miles is tough, and at the 2.1 mark, I was wishing it was over with. I'm hopeful that as I work toward 3 miles next week, that 2.5 well seem easier.

I know once I lose some weight it will be much easier to run. I just need to get my head wrapped around clean eating. I may have to move.....I live above a Dairy Queen lol.

Completed w3d1 today! I said goodbye to the mental block that kept me stuck on w2d3 and embraced the challenge. What was great is that it wasn't as bad as I feared
