W10D2 is behind me! I'm on my way! Distance was 3.5 miles, so a bit short, but I'm still happy with my progress!!

W9D3 is behind me! My day 2 run is always my best run, as is my 2nd mile. Anyone have patterns they've noticed?

I started for the same reason...putting myself first. Sounds selfish but I've found it really isnt. I have more energy to give to others, I'm happier and most of all I'm nicer to be around. In the end, by taking care of me first, I've found I have more to offer. Good luck to you! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Today I finished c25k! I did it in the prescribed eight-week regimen laid out in the app. I knew going into it I was going to have to repeat weeks maybe several times to finish. But you know what, I didn't. I didn't repeat a single day. I cannot believe it! I still need to work on my pace, I'm at 14 minutes a mile but I'm doing it! My 5K isn't until November so I have time to improve. I'm sticking with it. I'm a runner!

Well done Josesel - you begin to feel like a real runner after week 5!! I am between week 6/7. Did 23 minutes running and it took exactly 3km.

C2k w1 d2 ...2.8 miles, doesn't look promising for a 5k in 5days, but 5k fee goes to a great cause, angels of mercy, preventing child trafficking. My goal is only to finish, ☀️& enjoy sunshine in western NY while it lasts

Breezee reacted to Misplacedmama in 40 & Fat to 40 & PHAT & other ramblings – you have been warned
I've been reading this thread and I'm in the same place as many of you. I'll be turning 40 in October and I'm a stay at home mom of 7! Consequently, I've been eating peanut butter and jelly for the last 20 years and I look and feel like it. I homeschool my kiddos so my lifestyle is sedentary and I have put on a lot of weight through the years. It has always seemed like there just was no time to focus on myself. My weight is up to 255 and it's gotten to the point where I can't do some of the things that I want to do with my family. I haven't been to the doctor except for prenatal care in many many years but I'm going to make an appointment for a physical and go. I recently downloaded the myfitness pal app and have been logging my food for a couple months and I just finished week 2 of c25k! I've made some half hearted attempts to lose weight in the past but I really feel different this time around. I don't want to miss out on my life. I want to be here to enjoy my grandkids when they start arriving. I don't have a fitbit but would love any advice, encouragement or accountability you could offer. One thing I'm wondering is does anyone else deal with leg pain during or after there runs? My knees and shins have been killing me after my runs and I figure that is just part of starting out but does anyone know of a way to lessen that??? Thanks for any advice and great job everyone! We can do this!!!

Don't you dare give up!!! Be careful what you post on here or one of us will hunt you down and chase you with a big stick!!! Keep running - it will get easier and you will learn to look forward to your run and enjoy it. Now get back out there!

5K...about 1k into the run I realized my playlist ended. It was a nice change actually; felt like I could focus on the breathing a bit better.

You mummas with babies please don't push yourself too much. It take a good year or so for your body to recover after birth and pregnancy - more so if you have had a c section. If you are breastfeeding please drink lots - your bubba needs their milk. Speaking as a doula and mumma of nine kids. X

I am turning 45 in a few months - haven't run since high school and am loving this programme. One of the big things it has taught me is time. I now prioritise my running and look forward to it. As a busy homeschool mumma to nine kids, oldest with a disability, finding time was hard but now it is just part of my routine.

Breezee got a reaction from Speedingsloth in C210k week 9 onwards - who's with me?
I am doing some interval training runs so will keep doing those til you're ready to tackle week 9. I need to get my speed up.
