    Week 5 day 3 fail

The app is not wrong, I agree that it almost sounds impossible but trust the app and trust the training that you've done when you get there, and it is a case of mind over matter. There are a number of threads on this forum discussing how challenging it seemed(myself included) but you will be surprised once you get there and get past it.

  2. Sounds like you're doing good so far. I've seen many on this site redo weeks - you just want to persevere. Listen to your body - you will know best what you can do. But it also doesn't hurt to try and see if you can do the next week - you'd be amazed at what you can accomplish! You've already started to build endurance...it's just a slow and steady pace that you need. Also remember to not run to fast. If you can go slower, you're going too fast. You should feel like you can have a conversation without much effort. Good luck and good job!

    Hello

I'd repeat the days until your body adapts. If you have access to running clinic or Doctor, I recommend going to one. The running clinic I attended had a Sports Medicine MD and Physical Therapist. The clinic was extremely valuable, they identified issues with weaknesses with my core (& symmetry) that lead to problems with my foot. I'm stretching several times a day and following a core strengthening routine.

  4. Well.. I did it! I made some mistakes along the way but I'm back in the hotel room after a nap after the 10K the day after the 5K. My thoughts - in no particular order... - The 5K was done before I knew it despite me having a bit of a hard time transitioning from 'not running' to "running". Had some aches and pains show up real fast - to the point I was wondering if my achilles was going to blow out - but it all went away and, before I knew it, the race was over! - Important Training Tip: Do NOT walk around Epcot and put another 8-9 miles on your feet after the 3.1 miles of the race after standing around for over an hour in the corrals after a couple of days of doing the parks at Disney when you have a 10K the following day! Which brings me to: - A 10K in the rain is less fun than a 10K practiced on home turf. THANK GOD I BOUGHT A HAT! For a while, the rain started to let up but it came back plenty in the last third of the race. My feet were soaked, sometimes my glasses fogged up BUT AT LEAST I COULD SEE BECAUSE I BOUGHT A HAT AT THE EXPO! - I had to take a lot more walk breaks than I wanted to in the 10K (I wanted to take NONE). I got it down to a routine - uphills were walked and I'd set a target sometimes at which point I'd fast-walk for 60 strides. That being said, even though the 10K was less fun than I'd hoped because of the weather, I am SO glad I did this.. The proof? Take a look!

  5. Hey sweetie Tatiana, I has the Fitbit Surge for a year after haing all the fitbits. Lol. I am an OCD Gadget Girl. It stopped working after a year, called Fitbit amd proved I bought it within a year from Amazon. They sent me a brand new Fitbit Surge. So cool. Great company. I sold it on Ebay for $200. I bought an Apple Watch and will bever go anywhere else again. It depends on what you want it to do. Disclaimer - I am not selling a product, it is my opinion. Fitbit is great. Im such a Gadget Queen and half to have the latest product. Love my watch. I dont like everyone knowing how many steps Indo everyday, and Fitbit and Myfitnesspal are too nosey for me. I can be incognito with the watch. Lol. I saw on Fitbit where some people had 50,000 steps a day. Ok, did you put it on your dog??? Lol. I am really active and even with a broken foot I get 2-5 miles a day in my own house. Thats about 6000 steps. 50,000 steps is not real. Ok. Maybe working at a chain store all day but.......... Hope this helps you. Cost is an issue , so you have to decide that. But I would not trade my Watch for anything different. Hugs!!!
