If you use workout equipment at the gym then you are probably working out a specific muscle or muscle group. You will build up the strength in that specific muscle group rather than just working on your legs when running. Running and the gym are both good workout options, but the one you choose should really just depend on your fitness goals. Good2SeeU Posted August 15, 2018 Report Share Posted August 15, 2018 Cardio is definitely a must, it helps build up your heart like Agraham said. You can see all of these super strong bodybuilders in the gym but their cardio is horrible, it makes me worry about their heart health. I try to do cardio at least 3 days a week just to help my heart strength. HIIT training really helps out!
