Fat Girl Hates Running But Now Wants To!

I have ALWAYS HATED running! But as I've become more obese over the years I am wishing I could run. I have two young teens that I can't keep up with. They like to go out...and I don't - not in my current physical condition. 5'8" 320 lbs. For my build 180 is healthy. That's 140 lbs overweight! I'm carrying myself plus a whole other human being. :( Its time to change and get to moving! :)

 

I am a single Christian paraprofessional (finance and accounting) mom. I don't have any family and my circle of friends is very small. And they do not have the same goals health wise at this point. I am hoping to connect with others that are like minded for mutual support/encouragement/accountability.

Hi there and welcome! I've always hated running as well but as I've progressed with the program I'm beginning to enjoy it. earlier in the program, When I did struggle(and trust me there were plenty of those moments) I would be constantly praying and asking God's Strength to keep me from passing out!

Congrats on making the decision to get active and healthy! :)

 

I understand life happening all too well and I totally get the need for support/encouragement/ and accountability in those moments.

Hi. Im new here too. Just started at the gym a couple of weeks ago, but really want to lose my baby weight this year. I'm 101.3kg and would love to get to approx 70kg. I am going to do the C25K before I do my weight training 3 days a week and look at other cardio on the other 2 days. Hoping to get some inspiration and encouragement.

Hey all, so I have not been running. However, I am walking/fast walking. Baby steps. I do have a suggestion for everyone. So I know I need to lift weights but I hate dumbbells. Therefore, I got kettlebells. Omg my arms are a little sore just from the 5 lb weight. I found an app on my phone to show me the exercise and it works great. Plus there are exercise for a total body workout as well. Thought you guys might like to know.
