Tired of being over weight

Recommended Posts

Hi there and Welcome to the Forums Bianca,

You have your hands full with 4 kids. Would be fun to get them involved too. I'd let mine play in the middle of the track at the school sometimes.

Azatol and I are huge PALEO Fans. I have a website called Cavegrilcancook.com that I do post recipes there. I really need to do more there this year. I usually post on Facebook more. Best way to eat that I have ever found.

I have a huge Fitness background and have looked at every new diet, Fad that comes out and it all comes down to eating right and getting exercise. Paleo is so balanced. I do eat brains here and there but mostly Paleo. Meat, fruits and veggies. Can't get any better than that.

Anyways. That and YOU can do it. DO IT!!! We are all here cheering you on. We are all on the same journey.

Good Luck to you. We will be here for you. Hugs.

Welcome welcome! I love my son and having kids is great :) unfortunately it is absolutely hell on our bodies. Totes unfair but thats the price we pay for being able to grow a life I suppose haha

Im very excited to have you there are a lot of mothers on here going through the same journey as you. Just remember that losing weight is great but if thats your only goal it makes it harder to keep motivated when the numbers on the scale stop going down. Shoot for just being healthy, healthy eating and exercise and try not to worry about the weight so much (I know easier said than done haha trust me) and your body will take care of losing the pounds on its own.

Just keep at it! we are here for help and encouragement if need be!

LOVED what Trish and Teena shared:

Shoot for being healthy, (nutrition and exercise)

whatever that is for you

try not to worry about the weight so much,

it will melt off overtime as you continue to exercise and eat nutritious meals

and then lace those shoes up and get moving!

Warmest of welcomes Bianca!!  So happy to have you here!  If all you do today is decide to exercise only ...  that is a worthy; empowering life-affirming decision and goal!  The rest (further goals set) naturally come as you stay with decisions that move you forward.  Please keep us posted on your progress. I have experienced so much wisdom and inspiration shared here among members - awesome energy - confidence boosting get-up-and-go ooomph!!

CHEERING you on from afar, yet near in heart!!  YOU GOT THIS!   :)  :)  :)

Hi my name is Elba and new to Zen... I'm so tired off being over weight. I started August of 2014 weight at 198 with Thyroid. I freaked out because no matter what I've done I just gain weight. I decided I had enough. So the first thing I did was cut all my food intake to half and walked 1 hour a day. Once I felt my knee can handle the activity I walked stairs I alternate my routines. Finally I'm jogging I can do a mile is the most for now I will keep pushing. Now I weight 159. I got more to loose to reach my goal. I'm not gonna pat myself on the back because is the winter month and anything is possible to gain it back. It is hard to do outdoor workout due to unpredictable weather I borrow from the library Pilate and Yoga and Zumba DVDs for the days I can't go out. Just keep moving...You can do it anyone can do it! I'm 52 yrs old.
