    Firs Run

    Hi Lisa, Welcome Here. You run 3 days a week. Then I lift weights, or do other cardio on the other days. Sometimes I start my week on Sunday to run and go from there. I rest when I am feeling tired. Hope this helps. Happy running.

    Hey Emily, Definitely do not run 3x a day. It s 3X a week. I run M,W,F and weight s and other training on the other days. I am going to switch mine up as I do T25 in the mornings, then on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays do the app to run. I like that schedule way better. BTW, Welcome here and we are all here to support you!

  4. Hi Martina, You got this. These apps are incredible and coach you on your way. Do not be nervous at all. If you cannot run, then walk, you know your body. We are here for you every step of the way. Keep us posted! Good Luck!
  5. Hi EM, Welcome here. Crossfit is amazing, love it. If I wasn't so far out in the country I would def join a gym that does that. I do a lot on my own, so I am ok with that. For Cardio: ZenLabsFitness has great apps, C25k (couch to a 5k), is a great app to begin. We also have, 10k, 13.1k and 26.2k , ABS, Lunges, Pushup apps to help too. If you have never ran, then C25k is the way to go. It coaches you to run/walk, etc.. Love it. The more you do, the better and stronger you will become. Good Luck!

    app help

    Hi Lace, Which App are you using? Because the 5k app and 10k app are set for 5 minute warmup?? Sometimes I will Fast forward for a shorter warm up ONLY if I have already worked out before and am already warmed up. I wouldnot recommend that short of a warmup as your muscles and body need that time to adjust to warming up. It is Imeperative that you warmup for 5 minutes first. Otherwise you risk injury. When you are in your app and ready to start, hit the back arrow button to add more time to your workout. I do not see any other way. Good Luck
  9. Hi Cait, Welcome on here. We are all here for you, cheering you on. Have you downloaded the C25k app? That is where you want to begin. I am on Week 4, Day1 tomorrow on the 10k app. I love it. So, my advice to you is, workout how you want to , if you walk, fine, run, fine, we are all different. Get great shoes, there is a topic on the General Chat forum. etc.. Nosy around and read tips. Good luck and I started an Accountability group if you would like to check in. Also, there are a few of us on MyFitnessPal too, where we help there too. Good Luck!

  14. WooHoo Kate and Farmgirl too, quitting smoking is liberating, I quit in 1998 and never looked back, I do love a cigar once in awhile. You will love the C25k app, it will motivate you for sure. Do 3x a week and 2 days of weights. You got this and we are your biggest cheerleaders. Lets Do This!

  16. Hi Suzy A, yes, fast walk if you need to instead, anny exercise is better thatn none, there are days I will do that too. Hey Shelley, Great job on Week 3, don't be nervous, this is exciting, when you cannot do a Day, just do it over, you are doing awesome and I am so happy for you. It does become addicting, I sure am hooked. I was sick as a dog last week and was sidelined, so I am back to it this week, yay. Great job everyone.

    Oh Heck no Reese, She prompts you all the way, when your warm up is over, she will then say, Start running, you run, then she says, start walking, it is not doing that? So, if yo have the voice prompts on, and the volume also on in the app?? I saw the volume one the other day and did not realize ithad one too besides my phone. If that does not work, email them and ask for help. They are really good about helping out. Let us know here. Good luck!
  18. Hi There, Welcome on here and excited you are here. Are you starting with the C25k app? It is a great way to start. There is also an ABS app, Lunges, Butt, Pushups, ZenLabs also. They are great motivators. I am on Week 4, Day 4 of the 10k app. I did not use the 5k one as I am pretty active. Start with that and that will be 3 days a week for you. On the other days life weights, there are great weightlifting apps too. I rest on the weekends, but If I am feeling great, then I run another day. You can do it and we are all here cheering you on. Now, do you have a spouse?. It would be fun for you to workout with her. Also, get the kids involved in eating healthy and playing outdoors, going hiking, etc.... Keep me posted, Good Luck!

  22. Hi Trish, You can run however you want to . We are approaching winter now and I might have to get a treadmill. I sold one but I want the Nordic Track one and they are $$$$$$$. Yes Marika, it does get addicting. I was sick last week and only ran once and went to two exercise classes and i am missing it, and now it snowed today, lol and is freezing outside. Yikes...   23. When you are finished working out and post it or save it, when you open MyFitnessPal, it should be at the bottom of your daily diary under your exercises. It does for me... Let me know.
