  1. http://www.zenlabsfitness.com/difference-running-treadmill-running-pavement/ As you gear up to get started on your running routine, one of the most important things that you might be asking yourself is where to do your runs. While some people have a srong preference of either the treadmill or outside, others may not be so sure. Is one better than the other? Would you see enhanced results running outdoors compared to on a treadmill? Or perhaps the treadmill is better? By understanding the differences between the two, you can make a more informed decision on where to do your runs.

    I Got This . . .

I walk many miles in a week for exercise however due to a heart defect (fixed a few years back) I have never ran. NEVER. Today is the day! I ran the portions needed to complete W1D1. Feels good. I hope that since I do live on a paved bike trail and that I do have a treadmill (for rainy days) my chances are good that I will accomplish my goals of completing the C25K and of running my first 3K! Fingers crossed . . .

  4. I've never run before and I just finished Week 1 Day 1! I am sore, but I feel amazing. I have never felt more positive that I could accomplish something like this than I do now! This app is so great and I seriously love it. I am so excited for the coming days. I am ninja running at night so my family stays out of it. Tips on how to cool down or running techniques?

You made it to Week 5 - it is super. Be proud of it! Week 5 is challenging one. Do not worry about speed or distance. Reduce the pace. Just try to push through even if you have to switch to power walking in the middle. If you cannot make it from the first attempt don't be disappointed. You will get through it eventually. The journey itself is more important then destination!
