  3. Awesome Beachgirl (name?, lol), What is Triometrics? I am familiar with the Beachbody workouts , but not that one? Never heard of it. I love Insanity, Combat30, T25 and these running apps, cant ever get any better than that. I am a mover and a shaker, so Yoga and Pilates are not for me, I am way to active. I do yoga usually a little after every workout to stretch but to take a class, I would die, lol.. I am outdoors hiking, walking, biking, running when it is not to hot out. Indoor with DVD's when the weather is not good.

There is nothing in the world like looking in the mirror and knowing you are accomplishing your weight loss goals.

  5. I agree it's probably your shoes, and I strongly recommend you go to your doctor if you're experiencing recurring pain. The last thing you want to do is injure yourself so much that you can't run for months or need surgery. The next thing I recommend is looking into replacing your shoes with good running shoes, and going to a store that specializes in running is a great place to start. Preferably if they have equipment that can test your stride, how you walk, where you put most of your weight when you stand, etc and recommend the right kind of shoe for you. We have a place called Roadrunner Sports in my city. Look them up online and see if you can find a similar place in your area. Running shoe stores sometimes have an overstock or "second-hand" area so you can get good running shoes on a budget, so check that out also. My favorite running shoes right now are the Asics GEL-Kayanos, and you can usually find a pair on Amazon for under $100 if you time it just right. Don't worry about the numbers (ie GEL-Kayano 19 or 20) - those are just the model year code. 19 is last year and 20 is this year I believe. Good luck and hope you get it all sorted out soon so you can enjoy running pain free!

    joint pain

Properly fitted shoes are a major key. I will admit I grimaced at the price tag, but I viewed it as a long term investment in my health. If you can, talk to a chiropractor. I see mine probably once a month. Stretching is very important as well to help with the muscle pain. I've started stretching when I get back to the house after my 5 minute cool down, and that's seemed to help with sore muscles. Ultimately, talk to your dr. He/she will be able to give you the best advice. You definitely don't want to hurt yourself.

    C25K twice a day

I've started the regular way several times over the last few years and always had knee trouble by the end of week 2 which forced me to drop it for weeks. This time I started SLOWER, repeated week 1 three times, then week 2 three times, etc. I've just started week 5 and it's going well, I'm delighted. If anything, the progression to longer runs jumps up too dramatically in the later weeks and I'd really recommend repeating those weeks at least twice, build up stamina really steadily and do it without injury!
