livefires
Hi all, I'm just about to graduate my C25k app & thought getting a bit more support for my bridge to 10k was probably a good idea - especially with the dark & cold winter nights drawing in! I've never been much of a runner, largely because my knees have never been able to hack it. I've got some proper running shoes now though, and no sign of hobbling for anything other than stiff muscles! Anyway, just thought I'd say hello! livefires
Well, I tried week 9 day 1 on Monday & ended up getting as far as the end of the 3rd 10min jog before I got such bad pins & needles I couldn't feel my foot! I ended up giving up at that point (I tried to run through it, big mistake!). I gave myself 1 days grace & psyched myself up after work on Wed & went out again. Completed the workout this time but still had the pins & needles problem & my lower back has been playing up something awful today. Hopefully it's just a core fitness issue & not something that'll cause actual problems
Anne Lang
i hope you are right but. it sounds like a nerve or circulation issue
Ruthie
I am not a doctor, but it sounds related to your lower back, maybe sciatica, which I am well acquainted with personally. I find with my back that if I take care of it the minute it starts acting up - I am able to nip in the bud, before it becomes a serious issue. (I take anti inflamatory pills for a couple of days).
