SteveJ
Sorry to hear about the injury! Hopefully it's just a pull...but be sure to have it checked out if it doesn't get better. I've seen compression sleeves for lower legs to help with shin splints and calf pain...might be something to consider once you have a clean bill of health and your body tells you you're ready to continue. Anne Lang
it is a minor pull so i am to rest it i have no swelling so i can ice and elevate can do compression also so now i wait and see how long it takes to heal i dont have a foam roller yet but roll of paper towels helped some thank you for your support
SteveJ
Sorry to hear about the pull - definitely ice it to lower the inflammation. The foam roller can work wonders too, so if you see one on sale, grab it! Your leg muscles will thank you.
Maizie88
I'd also recommend taping it for more support and to help prevent further injury/damage to it.

SteveJ
Hope the walk loosens things up. Maybe make sure you stretch your calves out after your walk too? Hope this means you're recovering well!
Anne Lang
i went for a slow walk about half my old walking distance felt good so i walked a little faster i did stretch after still feels ok. a little tight after standing around while my daughter bowled so i guess im recovering not going to run till sometime next week but i sure had the itch to. Anne Lang
thanks KellyAnne as soon as my leg went pop i stopped running and walked slowly to work. i spent most of the day with my leg up i read on the internet and on lots of posts what to do i did let dr check i had no swelling or bruising it was 2 days before i could walk normaly. Today i was suposed to re do w1d2 but was running late for work so i did a 5 min warm up then 2 2min runs with 2 min walks then a one min run with a 2 min walk and 5 cool down on lunch i only had half hr today so i did same as morning with one exta 2 min run if i had more time i could have run more. tomorrow is strenght day and i hope friday i can do a proper w1d3 and sunday i can start week 2 where i left off. Jeshi
@Anne, I'm glad you're getting back into it, but please be careful. I'm always worried for people recovering from injuries because I don't want them to re-injure themselves!
