Getfitmindnbody
I was thinking about doing a detox for my body but there are so many. I don't know what would be a safe one. Does anybody have some ideas.
AutisticDaze
Hi, when I detox I cut out all caffeine, sugar, gluten, wheat and dairy for 2 weeks. I don't follow a specific program just cut out any junk or processed foods and eat clean freshly cooked from scratch. Always lose weight and feel so much better. KellyAnn
Great post and im curious to see what everyone thinks. Me, myself, I cannot do a liquid detox, it is not for me. But others can. We just came back from vacation. So of course we indulge. So now for me detox means, no alcohol, healthy fruits, veggies and meats. Thats my detox. What does everyone else like???? Maizie88
I did a juicing detox. I honestly didn't feel the greatest for the first few days as I found it pretty hard to get used to, but for the rest of the week it really wasn't so bad. I found I was craving a green juice more than anything else after the first 3 days. The most important thing with this kind of fast though is to make sure you are drinking enough of the juice. And put lots and lots of greens in it.
Jeshi
I don't do detoxes in the traditional sense (with pills or only drink/eat this one thing). I maintain a continuous detox by drinking green smoothies most mornings. If I feel like eating something solid in the morning, sometimes I will drink these for lunch. I rotate my greens: 4 cups of kale, swiss chard, spinach, romaine lettuce. I'll add up to a cup of each fruit depending on how sweet I want it to taste: pineapple, mango, or one banana. 1 tablespoon of black chia seeds. 2 cups of rice milk (extra cup of water, if desired). I also add a scoop of rice protein powder which keeps me fuller and makes this smoothie a great morning, post-run recovery drink. I also add 2 drops of grapefruit seed extract (although I'm not sure I've been seeing benefits from it, so I may cut it out or use it up). I buy frozen pineapple and mango, so that works as the "ice" component in the drink. I run it in the vitamix and after everything is going, I pour in the protein powder. Note: the protein powder has a slight taste/smell like uncooked oatmeal. It'd been nice to consider that before purchase, but the added fullness I feel is worth keeping it in my drink. Bottoms up for your health!
Jellybelly
I used to do juice detox and found a massive difference in how my body felt- in a good way. My gut felt light and clean. But having done quite a few now and despite feeling so good I no longer solely use juice (veg and fruit) but have it as a supplement. Instead I eat clean. I am vegan so it means I eat half raw half cooked especially since it is winter. My gut needs warming on cold days. So I eat things that have not been processed and drink lots of tisanes. Maizie88
Does anyone do dry brushing for detoxing? What about oil pulling? I've read about each but haven't heard from anyone who has actually done them.
