BMC27
Hi...a little nervous knowing i will be running this evening. I can wall on the treadmill at 3.5 for forty five minutes jist fine...but the running (even at short intervals) is somewhat scary...what if i cant run the full time? I will push myself. Looking to get healthier and in shape...looking to show my son what hard work and determination cant get you...looking forward to doing my first 1/2 marathon this year and feeling accomplished... KellyAnn
Hi There BMC, Welcome here. Good for you for walking on a treadmill.. You are doing great. Do not worry if you cannot run the whole time, you are moving and that is what matters. So proud of you, keep up the good work. Keep us posted. Azatol
You cant fail at running. You can only fail to run. If you get out there and try, you've already won! And in case you didn't play with the app and figure this out, you get unlimited restarts. You don't have to go to jail and you can still pass Go and collect $200. Never be afraid to fail. Only be afraid to not try! TheRoseWithin~Shannon
Teena
Hello BMC27, I am new too. Don't worry you will be great!! Just keep pushing...those kids are a great motivator to keep moving. My 11 year old was cheering me on last night as I completed w1d1...let your kids join in too that way you wont stop. Good luck!
TheRoseWithin~Shannon
Hi BMC! It is absolutely OK if you cannot run the full 5K. Focus on what you can do today, and "so what!" on the rest. AND GOOD JOB on pushing yourself to reach further - your son will see an empowering exemplar of perseverance! Keep at it. As Azatol shared above: "If you get out there and try, you've already won!" So, no need to scared, as the rest will come with practice, (your hard work and determination)! Very cool that you have a half marathon in your sights! I'm still quite far behind, yet I look forward to having this goal as well! Awesome!! CHEERS!
