pics4_65 17 Report post Posted January 9, 2015 I'm starting c25k tomorrow on my brand new treadmill. Got it put together today and will start first thing in the morning. I'm going to do the program first time through walking steady then fast instead of jogging since I'm 80+ pounds over weight. Hoping by doing it once that way then do it again with jogging I will be able to do a 5k by my birthday in July. 1 tee1976 reacted to this

pics4_65 17 Report post Posted January 9, 2015 Day one done. Both harder and easier than I thought it would be. Easier because any time I was ready to quit during the faster pace I could see it was almost over. Harder because I now know just how out of shape I am. 3 TheRoseWithin~Shannon, Azatol and KellyAnn reacted to this
Timb113 48 Report post Posted January 9, 2015 Pics, great job getting started. And I really like your plan of walking the program once before getting into jogging it. Great idea! 1 TheRoseWithin~Shannon reacted to this

CrashLN 14 Report post Posted January 10, 2015 And don't dwell on how out of shape you are, focus instead each workout on making a slight improvement over the last one. You got this!! 2 dairymaiden and maggiemae82 reacted to this

pics4_65 17 Report post Posted January 11, 2015 Day two down. Amazing how much this is really working me. It was slow getting this bad and will be slow getting myself back where I should be. Feels good to sweat because of doing something. I've decided I'm going to do this every other day instead of 3 times a week to make it harder for me to skip a day. 1 Azatol reacted to this
Guest TrishE Report post Posted January 11, 2015 Sounds solid. Just be careful and dont push yourself too hard. Listen to your body. Congrats on day 2 by the way!
pics4_65 17 Report post Posted January 11, 2015 Since I'm just walking slow and fast I shouldn't have any problems with it being to hard on my body. My biggest problems will most likely be getting out of my own head.
pics4_65 17 Report post Posted January 14, 2015 Finished day 3 week one. I think I will repeat day 3 one more time because my calves are really feeling it during the run. Other than that I'm feeling really good so far.

pics4_65 17 Report post Posted January 28, 2015 Used to die trying to step up into my husband's truck after work. Last night I got into the truck with no problem. The only major change I've made is following this program. Loving it! 2 Azatol and KellyAnn reacted to this
