Timb113
Blackcat, there is no too unfit to do the program. The beauty of this program is that you can take your time working through it. If you run into a spot that your physically unable to complete just repeat until you are ready to move on. If you have not done much exercise leading up to starting the program, I would recommend taking at least a week or two of just brisk walking for 20-30 minutes before you try to run in the program, but you can do it. We all started some where, and these forums will be a great place to see how others who are starting at the same time are doing. Keep us updated, you can do it! TheRoseWithin~Shannon
I wanted to like Tim's post, yet could not. Golden words of encouragement up above AdorableBlackcat! Welcome to Zenlabs! Once you get started, I am so curious and eager to hear how you continue to progress! Check out the Accountability 2015 forum to keep us posted! As Rumi shared: "Don't hide your heart but reveal it, so that mine might be revealed, and I might accept what I am capable of." Likewise, so that I might encourage you to see and believe in what you are capable of! CHEERS!

pics4_65
I'm far out of shape and I'm doing the first run through with walking slow and then a little faster for the run part. Once I've gotten through the program once that way I feel I should be able to run doing the program a second time. This will make it possible for me to run a 5k this summer. Azatol
There is no such thing as too unfit to get fit. I would reccomend you ease into it and immediately start some basic exercises to increase lower body strength. Squats, Lunges etc. Also work on doing planks to gain some core strength. Adding strength training into the game will make running easier and hey, why not stack the deck in your favor? <G> Welcome to the party!! Hi I know exactly how you feel in 2011 I had to renew my passport and as you know the picture isn't the best, my face looked like a beach ball. It still does but that's another story. So I thought I would start walking on my first outing my wife had to wait for me to catch up eventually I told her I would meet her at home. I remember getting stared at by people as they probably thought I was going to collapse but I continued and vowed that I would continued. I started taking short walks and eventually I was walking about 5~6km. However in 2014 I slacked off and put the the weight back on. I am starting again although this time it was a little easier since I am still able to walk my 5~6 km. Thats why I am doing the C25K now as I am trying to get back to double digits KG wise and it's more fun then just walking. So yes you definitely can do the program your objective at the moment is to move no matter how slowly. But as always you should consult a doctor before embarking on any training programme especially if you have not done any exercise for a while.
