I completed week 4 day two this evening. Not fast but Completed. My knees are sore but Advil and rest should take care them. #happy

Running on the treadmill is easier because your on a consistently flat surface whereas running outside has hidden elevations and terrains. You could always add elevation but that seems miserable. I would make sure to see your stats from an outside run, compare, and revamp. If you see more progress on your outside runs from doing treadmill trainings, then definitely keep it up. But I find that I have better results from running outside for outdoor races.

I freakin did it! Yes I know it was only week one day one, but still. I wanted to quit at the 12 minute mark but I pushed through. Not only am I glad I didn’t but (once I could actually breathe again) I felt great. I still feel great. Definitely a mood booster! Here is to hoping I get my butt back in a shape other than round!

    Good Day Team:
I’m Kristine, mother of 2 teenage kids, two hyperactive pups and partner to crazy healthy law enforcer —and I’m skinny fat.  This means I’m small, size 4, but I cannot run around the block. I can’t even run up two flights of stairs without getting winded. I attribute my skinny fat unhealthy life due to the fact that I’m a geek and work behind 3 computer screens 15 hours a day.
    NO MORE EXCUSES!!
I’m going to train and run and be able to keep up (and dare I hope) surpass my Air Force bound kid.
I look forward to this journey and have completed day 1. I did not die or throw up so I will go forward and keep running.
thank you all for sharing your goals, support and stories. I wish you all good running

Nachomama got a reaction from nashawn_25 in Week3 day 2, down 3.5 lbs
I'm enjoying the run, although I've only run alone up until this weekend.  My husband and I ran together 2 days and I found it much more enjoyable! I've only lost 3.5 lbs in almost 3 weeks though.  I've never had to lose weight prior to this, so I'm not sure if that's a healthy gradual loss or perhaps I should do something differently.

Totally agree that repeating is not a step back. You are still moving and that is the goal.

I would stay with week 3 and try to complete it. Do not worry about the distance, just stay steady, distract yourself with music and put one foot in front of the other.

That's perfect! You want to shoot for 1-2 pounds a week. If your in that range you are mostly burning fat cells. If you lose more than that then it is likely that you are losing muscle mass (bad!!). Keep doing what your doing and stay in a caloric deficit. As long as you burn more calories than you take in you will continue to lose weight!

Im 42 and my 2nd child was born 6yrs ago and I too was exercising...do great! Then I experienced some bad parts of life and just seemed to not have recovered. So came stress, emotional eating...and so came the weight and more weight! My body began to ache and hurt like never before. SO..in May of 2017....I got tired and a lil fearful of what I was doing to my body. I started using this app and a complete life style change in eating, out look on life, etc. Im on week 3 day 3. Im down 22lbs, fell off during the Hurricane Harvey event (emotional eating) but as of 3 days ago Im back running with the app and 5mile walks. Please keep posting, it is encouraging!

    Hi everyone,
Since I had my second child 5 years ago, I've gained 25 pounds.  I was running 5ks after I had her but completely stopped exercising and am eating terribly.  Party over. In May I turn 40, and have made it my goal not to enter my 40th year unhealthy and the heaviest weight I've ever been in my life.  I'm only in day 2 of week one, but for me, getting started is the challenge.  I look forward to running in this healthy journey with you all!

Nice work! Today I'm not using the app, but streamed a video on YouTube, tomorrow will be my day 3.  I'm already feeling better about myself and motivation is high! Keep moving!

just finished W1D2. Ran outside today. In some ways it was much harder than the treadmill as I don't think I went as fast. But I definitely got a good workout because I am sweating!
8 weeks until I turn 40. Let's get a bit more fit for the big one!
