  1. I turned 59 in January and started running for the first time ever using the C25K app. Yesterday evening I ran my first 5K race, and came in second in my age group. Thanks Zen Labs!

  4. I love my GT 1000 3 by Asics. Also love Brooks Ariel. I'm a footwear sales associate so I get to try severalbrands and styles of shoes... But those two were among my favorites- also enjoyed the asics Nimbus 15. I was born with flat feet (no arches) and wouldn't have been able to walk correctly or run-ever. I got a surgery to correct what it could but I will always need shoes with great support. I'm also and overpronater. IF others have any issues finding good support I'd also suggest looking into Superfeet insoles. They are amazing-but you need to find one that best fits you. They feel hard to touch, they aren't meant to feel squishy or cushioned-they are mainly about support. But trust me when I say your feet will love them!

  5. So, what do you follow, if at all in the way of eating? I hate the word DIET, who likes to diet? Noone. NADA, not me, lol. I LOVE PALEO, I have a website called www.cavegirlcancook.com I put up recipes the Paleo way. Paleo is Meat, Fruit, Veggies, I do add potatoes and rice sometimes too, I am human and I get bored.. I will not give up my cheese, ever, period. SO what do you eat??? Atkins? Nutrisystem, Medifast? I have friends who have lost a lot on Medifast, but I am rebel ad cannot stand for someone to tell me what to eat. But that is just me... We cheat every Saturday and that does help to burn more weight off. My husband Keith likes The 4 Hour Body diet, i am ot a big bean lover due to the.......... factor, you get that. lol BUt he loves it.. ANyways, thoughts, ideas?

  6. I have started c25k 5 times. I always get stuck at week 4 or 5 due to shin splints. I think I will try new shoes. I have also started icing the shins even if they do not hurt after a run. It seems to improve things so far!
