I think it really depends on each person. Some people need something in their bellies before they exercise some people don't. The one thing I will say is that hydrating is very important so even if you don't need to eat you should still try and drink water before and after

Yes Nothingtodo,

 

so true, I cannot do carbs that early unless it is toast or fruit, so whatever that person can eat is great.  Everyone is so different, whereas, carbs, makes me ill, but for someone else, carbs are their favorite.  Definitely cannot run on an emty stomach!
