CarAudioChris
Hello, My name is Chris and I am kind of new to this. I am currently living in Stillwater, OK and am looking at a goal of being able to do Iron Man Galveston in 6 months. It is a half Iron Man so its only 1.2 swim/56mile bike/13.1 run. Since I have never done anything like this before I started by looking at the C25K app and all of the other options Zen Labs has to offer. I would like to hear from the community here though what they recommend because I know this is a challenging goal but I believe that I can accomplish it if I really focus on what I am doing. Thank you,
Dart_girl
I'm new to running so no advice here - but sounds like a great goal! Do you bike and swim already?

Guest CarAudioChris
Never in competition but I love both. Never done much open water swimming and most of my biking has been on BMx and mountain bike so it's going to be new for me but I am motivated! P.S. Just finished my first day in C25K and I feel great!

sdbeachgirl
I love your enthusiasm! If you Google "Triathlon training programs," you'll get some great results back to help you plan for it over the next few months. Strength and endurance training are probly going to be your best friends. Good luck training for it and please keep us posted on your progress! Guest RILY
I'm just starting out with this idea of running, so no advice here. But my husband is a triathlete and he will be doing his first half Ironman in Michigan next summer. Download a training plan and make it your best friend! You'll do great. Good luck.
