Guest Sue
hello, I'm new to running. I'm 39, 100lbs overweight, and turning into a couch potato. I could use words of advice, and encouragement. Especially with the bitter cold weather coming on.
KellyAnn
Hi Sue. Welcome here. Good for you for taking the first step. You can do this. We are all here for supporting each other. I love the motivation. I don't like to run in the cold , brrrr, I'm going to run on a treadmill this winter. Lol. I'm a wimp. Now, I will hike but not run in it. One foot in front of the other and you can do it. Healthy eating goes right along with running. The weight will melt off of you. Keep me posted on here. Hugs. Good luck. You can do it. Dart_girl
Hi Sue! Good for you getting started! I'm an outdoor runner (no gym membership, or treadmill) - so I'm determined to keep going thru the cold. Of course cold is relative and I'm in the south so not sure what your facing - but if you plan to run outside, I'd say an investment in good cold weather running layers is warranted... I'm not a fan of being cold, but the running helps keep ya warm!
ballanburden
All it takes is putting one foot in front of the other...keep taking those steps and you'll do it! As has been stated, dress in layers for the cold and good luck with your goals! sdbeachgirl
