I am 34 years old and weigh 231. I am only 5'7" so that's really overweight. This past week I decided to cut back my calories and loose some weight. I made the statement that I would love to run a 5K someday. And my wife found this app! So I am giving it a try. I finished my first day!!! About 12 minutes in...I almost quit. Then I kept telling myself to keep going. The half way mark rolled around and I knew I wanted to finish. I then had my doubts as I kept going. But when I seen that I was running 7 of 8 I knew I could do it. And I did! So...we will see how the rest of this workout goes!

I started c25k at 286 lbs and I completed it weighing 255 and I'm only 6ft tall so I was what you would call obese just stick with it I know it sucks sometimes just push through it and you will be thank full even at 255 I can run a 5k fairly easy so I'm moving on up to the 10k would love to lose about another 40 lbs so I can look sharp for my 10 year anniversary if you ever need someone to talk with motivate or whatever hit me up

Thanks again everyone! I completed the first week with not too much trouble. However, I am doing this with my wife. We both are doing this with weightloss and exercise as a main goal. I am not pressured to run a 5K in 8 weeks so we are starting week 1 again. We want to take it slow and loose weight along the way. I appreciate all of the support!
