Currently starting my weight loss journey .. It's super hard because I tend to get cravings a lot and feel like I can't control my eating. I am young and attend school and feel super lazy when I get home and don't have the energy to workout Any tips for motivation and weight loss would help ! I also fee like I have no support system and I feel too embarrassed to ask my family .

Hi all, my name is Ann. I feel like I've started a "big new start" a thousand times before. It's a week of motivation and wanting to change but then fizzling out before anything sticks. Maybe I don't have the discipline or my motivation is for the wrong reasons, but I know I want to be better (harder, faster, stronger!). I'm female, 26 years old, 5'6" and hovering around 200lbs. I had some knee and hip issues that caused a lot of pain, but mostly I used them as an excuse because that was easier than confronting the fact that I was out of shape. The thing is, I remember when I was in decent shape. Never a hard body, but strong and healthy. I didn't love my body then, but did nothing about it. Now I'd kill to get back to that spot. I want to make a change, for good. Maybe these forums will help me? My husband just decided to train for a marathon out of the blue. (That's just who he is... He once decided to sign up for a 1/2 with no training and FINISHED it. WHO DOES THAT?!?) For once, I want to join him. Not talk about maybe doing something or being the wife who stands on the sidelines cheering while he actually like is living life. Obviously I'm not thinking of a 1/2 to start. I've failed so many times that I want to work on a reasonable goal that's not too far away from my level now. But if I could do a 10k that weekend, my heart would soar. Sorry if this is too long, but it's good to say a goal out loud, even if no one reads this. The 10k is May 7. Plenty of time, even if there are set backs or slow downs. Room to go a little slowly to take extra care of my knee. I'm excited!

My name is Rachel! My cousin loves this app so I thought I would give it a try. I always workout for months then end up getting bored of it and gaining all my weight back. Running has become more and more popular and i can't help but wish I could run like some people! Another family member of mine runs marathons and I am so jealous! My issue is staying motivated, eating better/less, and my shin splints. Treadmill isn't too bad, but concrete gives me the worst pains I've ever felt. Can't wait to start, get healthy, keep my weight off, and STICK TO IT!

My girlfriend and I have decided that it's time to get in shape and live the lives we have imagined. Me – I’m a 5’3”, 195lb, 21 year old former athlete. Throughout the first 16 years of my life, I hated running. I was always the one who had to walk during the mile at school, and not by will either. During my junior year of high school, colleges started recruiting me for my athletic ability. I had the skill, I just couldn’t run the distance. At that time, I knew I had to get my running under control. I started my own program and went from struggling running a quarter of a mile to running 4 miles with only a few breaks a year later. I felt the best I ever had, both physically and mentally! Flash forward to now and I am 195 pounds (compared to 125 two years ago) and struggle to even run for a minute. Once again, I know I have to get my lifestyle under control because now I’m starting to experience the health effects of being overweight. I know that I can do it, it’s just sticking to it that has been the problem. To keep me motivated, I have several short and long term goals. Within 8 weeks, I want to be able to complete a 5k run and also run a standalone mile in under 8 minutes. 1.5 years from now I would like to run a half marathon and then also complete the Boston Marathon at some point in my life. Her - I'm a 5'7" 250lb 19 year old college student. I have never been very fit, when I was younger I had to wear a brace because I have severe scoliosis. In gym I was the last person to get picked on the team, every one knew I was usually the least athletic uncoordinated in the room. At this point I feel like I'm missing a huge part of life because of my physical limitations. I want to know what it feels like to be able to run, I want to be able to walk up 3 flights of stairs without gasping for air, and I want to be able to go hiking and enjoy nature with friends, without holding everyone else back. We will be posting updates along the way!

In elementary school I had chronic bronchitis. I used to be a state ranking swimmer 2 years ago, so I figured I conquered that breathing problem. However, every time I run (with this program or not) I can't seem to go long without my trachea feeling like it is on fire. After I run I will feel like I have something in my throat for up to 4 hours after as well as small coughs. My doctor has little to no input on this. What is this? Does anyone else get this? How can I combat this? It's getting discouraging...

Hi everyone! Today is my third day using zenlabs and Im excited to looking forward to a healthier and better me! Today I was working out and my legs were hurting so bad that I had to stop. Any suggestions on what I could use to help with pain? And what is a good speed to begin running? Thanks to anyone that applies.
