Well hey there Hayley, First , yippee for downloading the app and doing Day 1. Big step. This is a great forum for all of us to talk and help each other. I have an accountability topic I posted in General Chat that you can check in everyday. There are a few of us on myfitnesspal too for tracking food. Someone might want to help on Instagram. I'm on here and My FB page so too many apps and I'm fried lol. You are also young and your metabolism is probably fast? You should shed this weight pretty quickly. With a healthy diet and this papa nf you got this. Look up Zenlabsfitness in your App Store and they have other apps too for working out. You got this girl and we are all here for you cheering you on. Ask any questions. Happy Running!

Hi Cassandra. It is so easy to want to hibernate in the cold. We are like that. Don't do it, lol. So when the app tells me to cool down, I walk for the 4 minutes and then the last minute I stretch. If I'm outside, then I stretch on rocks, trees, etc. Don't ever just stop , always cool down and warm up. Happy Running!

Hi Michele, welcome here. Good for you for starting. Incredible. These apps are greatfor keeping you motivated. There will be people who want to sabotage you. Listen to your body. I look at it this way. I am working out, getting my myself in shape, there will always be someone who says negative things. You do this for yourself. Proud of you. Keep us posted. Happy running.

Hey there Well, if you have not had any exercise at all and started this , it will get easier in a few weeks. Walk if you need to. Perfectly ok. Total congrats on losing 40lbs. That's incredible. Just give it time and you will become addicted as the rest of us. I feel like the app is going to kick my butt if I don't workout lol. My tips are, run at your pace. You are you. Fast if you want or slow. Get great shoes. That is imperative. Strength training will help too. I do that on other. Days.

Hey Lil Mama, Congrats on downloading the app. So stinking proud of you. That is the first step I am sure it is daunting as heck to begin. Baby steps, YOU DO NOT have to run at all, walk , walk fast. There are days when I do not run, I walk. If you are off the couch , then you are lapping anyone else sitting there. You can do this. It won't be easy, but if you are determined and set your mind to it, you can do anything you want to do........ I always tell myself, "How bad do you want it? I WANT IT BAD, so I will do anything now to get back in shape.....You can move mountains once the mind is set. You can start the app anyday you choose. 3 Days a week, the other days, do something else, like, lift weights (that gets you lean), walk again, do another day from the app, swim, bike, etc.... My advice is I love to workout 5 days a week, take the weekends off, or do fun activities for exercise....... Anyways, I will add more in a few, gotta run. HUgs to you all!

Hi Jacqi, Welcome here. Good for you for wanting to be healthy. So which part of the day do you think is good for you to work out? Do you want to workout in the am, lunch or evening? You can do this once you set your mind to it. You can eat healthy , it takes practice to pack healthy foods or even find them while out. I know that one. Nothing but junk food out there. When you eat healthy your body will love you and you will only want to eat that way. That is what we have done. We cheat one day a week and we do not even want to do that anymore. Is there anything I can help you with? Pack healthy lunches. You got this. Good luck!

Hi Jacqi, You are doing just fine. I would think that after a few days you would be able to finish it. If you cannot run, can you walk really fast? That might help. awesome for you for no giving up. Keep going. I hope others can answer who have struggle too. Good luck to you! Happy Running!

You Bet Lisa, Pick my brain. There are great books out there about Paleo. I have a website with a few recipes called www.cavegirlcancook.com I think there are some paleo books on there with links to amazon, but you can go to Amazon.com too and type in Paleo. I am not ridiculously Fit as I love my cocktails (which I havent drank in weeks), as I really want to lose weight. I am having a blooddraw this week as I am not losing like I should be and am very tired too. I have been working out hard and not dropping fast. Once you and your family eat healthy, the less they will want processed foods. We used to cheat on Saturdays , but dang, it takes days to recover from the junk food, so maybe not anymore. 1 Diet Dr Pepper a day?, that is not bad at all. Sounds ok to me. There are studies out there that say people gain weight from it, but I never have. When I go to town here and there I will stop for a diet soda, usually do not keep them at home, and it is my treat when I go shopping. We live in the country so going to town is a big treat once a week or every 2 weeks. Looks like your account is working. Yay. Oh yeah, you will gain more energy as the days go on.
