I haven't yet run below 35 degrees F thus don't have any problems but I'm quite cold sensitive and as a walker ( for a long time ), I can tell you a balaclava is your friend. They have some pretty affordable merino wool ones on amazon. Will keep you warm and dry ( no cotton ). That would be my suggesation as the voice of inexperience.

I use a powerbreathe to warm my lungs up when I'm running below 0° I don't know whether it's psychological or not but I find it a bit easier when I first start running.
As for the wind I live in a windy place and I find the woods a good place to run when it's bad. You can't go flat out but it's more interesting and works your muscles in a different way. :-)

Thanks. I actually did suck it up and go out. I ran through some subdivisions so the wind wasn't so bad. I did it!! W6d3!! Whoo hoo! On to week 7! Feeling a bit intimidated, but I know I can do it. Slow and steady. I'm the only one in the race, so I always win.

Lol thanks! I try to keep motivated. Unfortunately, I didn't run today. I'm hoping tomorrow is not as windy and I'll head out. We are expecting some snow tomorrow.
