first time since starting just couldn't finish. The last 5 min segment running was horrible - ran out of juice, sore legs, breathing all out of whack. So disappointed as had been travelling quite nicely. Gonna wait 2 days and repeat early Saturday morning. Don't know what went wrong today.

I was also same boat jan worried as older (47), never run, overweight. My view has been keep jogging just slowly slowly slowly - repeat a day if you need no drama. I My routine is I do my session, next 1-2 days I walk only, the next session 1-2 days from previous run to let the leg muscles recover. Works for me - currently finished week 4 day 1 with difficulty so will repeat this day.

Ok thanks guys onto week 4 and turtle pace for a minute at the last run segment but I did it. Slow and steady for sure -
anyone recommend a certain running mag for newbies starting to run?

My first 5 minute segment finished and surprised me! However I struggled with the second 5 min segment and the last minute of that my jogging was as slow as walking I think! I'm sure as someone said, a lot of barriers to starting running are in my brain ...... Looking forward to wk 4 day 2 in a couple days though

I just finished week 3 and honestly day 1 I failed because I had to walk 20 sec of the first 3 min block, but I completed day 2 and 3 easily - and I run like a turtle in peanut butter too! I'm nervous about week 4 but it seems everyone just takes it slow with the tips to make sure you have rest days and DONT WATCH THE CLOCK OR TIMER! Put on good music. Good luck

Going from 3 min runs to 5 mins ...... Heck hope I don't fail ! Have been feeling great to this point never been a runner before. I can't even contemplate those of you on the 20 min segments

Update wk 3 day 1 - disappointed could not make the first 3 min run block and walked the last 20 sec, but I did manage the second of the 3 min run segment. Hoping the day 2 I complete it fully . -
I'm starting week 3 tomorrow I'm not into the addicted phase yet :/-

Hi, I'm pretty new, finished week 1 last week and have been doing week 2 runs this week. For my Week 2 and Day 2, I wasn't looking at my phone at all, but it seemed it "skipped" a couple of the 90 second runs and 2 min walking segments, and I didn't hear it go into the cool down phase. Can the programme "skip" over parts of it accidentally? Or am I missing something obvious? I repeated the day 2 next day it seemed fine. Wondering if I accidentally hit a button in my pocket or something? Thanks in advance.
