I have had a few years of running off and on, including running a couple half and a full marathon, and I still never considered myself a runner. It never got in my blood. I did it for my health and weight. But, to my surprise, running did not make me lose weight. I believe it helped me maintain somewhat, but never lose. As it's been said, 80% of weight loss begins in the kitchen--it's nutrition. Nutrition alone has helped me lose weight. I am blessed with a wonderful regimen that floods my body with excellent nutrition. But the fireworks really happen when you combine great nutrition with consistence exercise. So I'm back at it! Exercise+nutrition = optimal health! I started on week 4.
