It gets better. I have not found a "get skinny quick" solution, but in the cases of being bullied and feeling insecure because of my weight, I learned to look within and love myself. After a while, it didn't matter what anyone else thought, only what I thought. Haters gonna hate, but in time, bullies lose their power when you let go of your own insecurities and stop bullying yourself on the things you think are wrong with you. They aren't perfect, that's why they bully, they are trying to hide their own insecurities by grasping onto your weaknesses and exposing your insecurities. Unfortunately, being on the heavier side is more obvious than some of the insecurities others feel, which is why heavier people are easier to insult. Forget them. Keep working on being healthy and exercising, love yourself and your body. You're doing a good job. Remember, it gets better.

Hey Taylor,

I am so sorry that is happening to you. It is their insecurities and not yours. They pick on someone else because they don't like themselves. You keep your chin up and don't listen to them. You are you and they are them. Don't get skinny, get healthy. You are young so eat healthy and workout. You can do it Taylor.

Do not ever ever ever ever let anyone get to you. There was this girl here in town who went to school with my son. Really countrified she was. In school there 6 girls called the 6 chicks. They were so mean and rude to her and other girls. This girl would cower around them and be so afraid of them. So one day, her mom asked me to do her hair and makeup so she will not look so ungirlish. So I did. Then I started teaching her confidence. So one day, in school, these girls picked on her again, my little protege, stood right in front of them looking all pretty, and hitched up her pants and said, do you want a piece of me?, you really don't want to go there. Ha ha ha ha. You know what???, they left her alone after that. She grew up to have such confidence and I was really proud of myself.

You stand your ground Taylor. Get out there and lose your weight, you can do it and we are all here cheering you on. Let me know how to help,ok???

Big hugs and stand tall.

I'm not sure what your daily eating habits are, but a simple tip is to quit soda for water, It's a small step, but I've found it makes a noticeable difference. You'll consume less calories from quitting soda, plus I've found it makes you want to eat less overall.

Also, try to eat more vegetables during meals to help fill you up. For example, instead of 3 pieces of chicken for dinner, maybe have 2 pieces and 3 cups of salad to fill you up. Salads have incredibly low calories and are really cheap. I've found Costco sells Ready Pac Garden Salads for around $2 for 3lbs, and 3 cups is only 15 calories. If you get hungry in between meals have a apple, banana, etc. to tide you over until the next meal.

I've also made it a habit of keeping a journal of everything I eat through the free app MyFitnessPal and it also syncs together with the C25K app. If you don't know how many calories are in a product it has a barcode scanner that finds just about anything I've thrown at it. Good luck and remember it won't happen overnight, it's a marathon not a sprint! :P

Hi Taylor, sorry to hear about your troubles ck and kelly ann are right - it's their problem. Probably not loved at home or something. A good friends are gold at these times. X

Anyway don't lose weight quickly, you'll look a mess and the methods are generally not good for you.

If you're parents will let you get up early and go for a walk or do c25k every morning before school. The weight will start to come off and it will make you feel more energetic and happier in the day. The other brilliant thing to do is a sport like football or field hockey anything that involves short bursts of running. You get so involved with the game you don't realise that you've just ran round for an hour.

Remember it's not about being skinny that's just as bad as being chubby, you want to be fit and healthy and that's a lifestyle choice (one that will make you live longer than bitter people at school).

It's perfectly achievable especially by you (someone who was prepared to admit their problem and ask for help) so stick at it and you'll get there. I did. X
